If you want a staff (nurses specifically) that want easy days or couldn’t care less about the family member, then go right ahead send that special person here.

Specifically speaking, the nurse named Doris, stated to me that they wanted an easy Sunday so they kept my father sedated all day instead of following the treatment protocol that was put into place. With that we would call and check in after visiting hours, and if Doris was the charge nurse, the response would be”what do you want to know about him” instead of professionalism and heart felt communication.

From a professional perspective, it would be a 20+ minute wait on anything whether it be to clean up my father or anything that would help him. I was a CNA for 4+ years and there is no compassion from this floor. Majority of them are there for a paycheck and nothing more.

Do I recommend this for another family…..ABSOLUTELY NOT!!

I was here for about 4 months.. They were absolutely great to me. I was getting IV antibiotics for an infection that they did clear up when another well know hospital did not. They were always there if I needed something. The staff became like family. I WOULD recommend them to anyone.

March 2023 AWful Never been in a dirtier Hospital and management knew it. The doctors care was excellent!
Nursing delayed my leaving by three days over a long holiday weekend because they wanted the bed revenue and lied about the reason. Physical therapy was a joke and Medicare paying for it.
Food was so bad and smelled so much like garlic that I started ordering cereal for supper, great -for recovering your strength and energy . My room was mopped once and they didn’t even mop the bathroom. I was there 10 days. From a rettired nurse

I had a friend that was admitted there, during that time, she was having issues with the nurses during nightshift not wanting to bring her meds on time. Even the bedside manner that I've seen firsthand was atrocious. One of the nurses tried to call the police on her because they were needing a change in dressing, but i guess the nurse was looking for an excuse to not help her. Every time I went to visit her, I had to clean up her room because the nurses don't clean up after themselves, wrappers left on the floor, uncapped needles sitting in the bed.

This is the place to take a loved one if you don’t want communication, if you don’t expect progress, and if you just want a place to bring someone to die.
We were told our loved one could transfer from St Vincent’s and would receive specialty therapies that would help him get stronger, faster, and get him home. Not the case. He was put in a room the size of a closet, in a bed that his feet hung off the end, and a commode that was so short it was good for children, with no assist bars. The window view was of a brick wall. We were told he would be moved to a larger room because the longer bed wouldn’t even fit in this room, but it never happened. We watched in disbelief as he daily just got worse, and then death.
Unfortunate lesson learned.

Staff half and half on providing quality service. Rooms nasty upon admission and Charge Nurse Tracy should retire due to her of attentiveness; she fails to assist her staff when requested. New nurses not fully aware on what to do so she needed help.

ATTN ALL CNAs: this place doesn't care about adequate staffing no matter the work load. I had 13 patients: each was a STRICT Q2 turn, 10 was incontinent. you will empty urinals, catheters, fecal bags, &wound drains. 6 were assigned full bed baths, all were assigned timed vitals, 3 were assigned timed blood sugar checks, 4 was on isolation, BREIFS AREN'T ALLOWED unless patient is being discharged. You can't use Towels, Chucks or ANYTHING that can go between their legs. It was so bad a man begged me to take his money so I could skip ahead to clean his wife (again) cz he saw me running up/down the hallway answering lights going in rooms not coming out until several minutes have passed. I had to say no to his money but I did skip a few patients to get to her. I was doing frequent entire bed changes the entire time I was there. 2 of them was playing in it. 1patient repeatedly trying to fall out of bed, another trying to pull out his trache&nose tube thing despite having wrist restraints on. Each time you go in a room you're spending 20-30 minutes doing bed changes, some who you just gave baths too, as well as repositioning with the wedge pillows. The 2 nurses helped but it's literally only so much they could do w/o them falling behind on their own work so it's still just you. You have to pass out ice water&meals but it's going to be late because you're stuck in a room. Had a patient being discharged, so I had to stop to bathe & dress him so he could be ready to leave. You will get no lunch break, BARELY a 15 min. break. The house supervisor came& said "make sure you're getting your baths&Q2 turns done" I said I'll do the best I can & she turned & looked at me like I just sassed her. No ma'am you know this LTAC needs more than 1 aid for the amount of work this is. I never even got time to sit &chart which in 2024 they still use paper charting. The sharps box in the patients' rooms were filled to the brim with NEEDLES sticking out and it is the aide's job (per the nurse) to replace all sharps boxes so good luck finding time to do that. im what you would call a Super CNA. But that place is no go for me until they get more staff. DO NOT GO TO CORNERSTONE HOSPITAL IN LITTLE ROCK, AR. YOU WILL SUFFER!!

(1) Generally excellent care. Day shift more attentive than night shift. One might think there is less activity on nights but i have waited as much as 25 minutes for a response.
(2) dietary is the weak link in the chain. Putting in a standing order for a particular meal may or may not be fulfilled.
They struggle with cooking proteins(beef, pork, chicken). Usually dried out, hard to cut with the plasticware they provide.
In their defense the kitchen is likely cooking 1,000 of the item at the same time, so quality control gives way to mass production
Any menu with ground beef (meatloaf, or meatballs) are really good. Chicken salad best item on the menu.
(3) PT & occupational therapy are great to with. Challenged me w/o being pushy.
(4) Case managers are very thorough; great communication about transition to next step in treatment.
