My partner and I went here for a pregnancy confirmation appointment, we're both transgender and I specifically selected this office as they are the closest Adagio office that does prenatal care, it was about an hour drive. I made a point to go to Adagio as they advertise as highly LGBTQ friendly and I just wanted my partner and I to be gendered correctly during what normally is a very gendered thing. I had to tell multiple people that my partner uses she/her pronouns and they continuously called her a "he", the doctor also did not use my pronouns either, even though the rest of the staff did. We were continuously directed and urged to go to other offices as this office is an hour away, but we picked them for a very specific reason and I tried to explain that. Aside from the lack of care and attention to their LGBTQ patients, we were given at least three different due dates- granted, all within about a week, but now we're confused on what to tell people or to plan on. We were ordered an ultrasound at another clinic and I plan on asking if they could provide a solid due date for us. Our doctor also told us that whether we have a miscarriage or not is "up to God", which is fine if that's what you believe, even I believe in God, but it's frankly just not good practice. This doctor has been in practice for 30 years and I'm quite disappointed in the care we received on terms of pregnancy. I did have to get a pap smear while we were there and at least it wasn't painful like I've been told by many others, so I will give her a point for that. But, she told us we were so many weeks and days along and gave us a due date that didn't align with that. The staff were friendly and helpful, and managed to schedule an appointment for me at an Adagio clinic more locally to discuss a few other things mentioned which was convenient. Scheduling an appointment was also pretty easy to do online, though a little confusing for someone doing for the first time. I do not plan on going back to this office, and am highly disappointed in the treatment we received. If you're not queer and don't need a pregnancy confirmation, I think you're pretty well off, but they just did not serve the purposes we went there for.

This is one of the most caring places to go for a medical issue; starting with the receptionist to every employee working in this office! They are super friendly and caring. They treated me with great respect and listened to each of my concerns. They really worked to help me in various areas. I would highly recommend this office. I have never been treated better. The concern, empathy, and professionalism was above and beyond 5 stars! Highly recommend this wonderful staff and terrific office.

The staff is absolutely wonderful, they were kind and fun. I have really hard veins to get blood from and I'm used to being a poked a few times during blood draws. This is the first time I've actually had veins blow mid blood draw though. In the course of 2 visits, I was poked 8 separate times, had 3 veins burst mid draw and they didn't fill the vial all the way with my last draw. I patiently waited 2 weeks for genetic screening and to find out the sex of my baby and unfortunately after all that waiting, the test wasn't preformed because they didn't draw enough blood. The staff was great and felt bad for having to poke me so many times but I'm really disappointed.

Edit: I've been back since this review and the last blood draw went smoothly with no pain. I really do love the staff here.

Can we talk about this place? I found this clinic due to me not having health insurance and finding it impossible to get help in Allegheny country. Appointment booking a breeze, quick intake, caring staff and friendly doctor! I came in having a near meltdown with the hormones and concerns about an abnormal PAP and they settled me down and treated me like a human. Didn't make me feel bad, I felt like I was amongst friends.

I had to get a voucher for a mammogram and was missing the second half of the paperwork I needed NO problem they faxed it right away no questions asked. I went to UPMC for my mammogram and let me tell you UPMC has been a nightmare. Their staff got it sorted for me, AGAIN put my mind at ease and even called me back. You do NOT get that kind of treatment anywhere else. So glad I found this place, team and staff, if you are reading this THANK YOU, seriously thank you. Will continue to come here. Super clean facility too. A true gem in a sea of crazy healthcare experiences, go here, you are welcome and you will receive care!!

The lady at the front desk was welcoming, the man that takes phone calls is very helpful and friendly, and the nurses are very good at making sure you feel comfortable and accommodating for you. A very pleasant experience for being in a stressful situation. I also think that it’s incredible this place has a policy that they won’t deny you service if you cannot pay right then. I definitely recommend.

I really loved this place for many years but I have been let down. It started a few years back after I had visited and set up a new phone number with the woman at the front desk, I couldn’t be reached on this phone. I never heard from them after an important test and assumed I was fine. A month after my initial visit I got a new phone and set it up with that original phone number they have and the first thing I see on my new phone is multiple voicemails reaching out about a problem with my body. I freaked out and went back for treatment, ended up being okay. I got a new phone and number about a year later, same story with changing it and them not contacting the new number, thank goodness it wasn’t anything serious about my visit that time they just needed to call me to check in on my birth control implant. Of course I never got that call. On the topic of birth control I did research about how when removing the implanon you aren’t supposed to use a certain type of tweezers(?cant remember technical term) and my doctor used the exact design I read up on being bad, as it makes it harder to grab the rod and can increase irritation. Not a big deal in my opinion maybe it’s just how she prefers to do her practice. But what really topped the cake was me calling in a little over a week ago for a problem, being told they would send my information to the doctor to review and decide what treatment I can do from home or if I need to come in to the office for treatment, and told me they would call me back to let me know my next steps. I never got a call 🙂 so, thanks a lot adagio. I really feel cared for.
