Watching your parents age is never easy. That doesn’t even compare to the day you realize you have to discuss with them leaving their home & going somewhere that can assist them. My sister & I called, researched, and visited many places trying to find somewhere that had the right “feel” for them and their needs. When my sister visited The Barns, right away she could tell it had the “feeling” we wanted. It was decided that The Barns would be their new home. Home is the best word to describe how it feels. The staff constantly shows love towards, not only my parents, but all the residents they work with. The staff develops relationships with those living there and laughter can be heard regularly because of those relationships. The Barns takes out the feeling of being a “facility” and creates a home. Meals around a common table, where everyone who lives there gets to know each other, gives a feeling of family. There is never any smells, the facility is very clean. The food is home cooked, not from a box, and looks delicious. The small size means lots of quick attention when needed and the ability to notice needs not verbalized. The administration is caring, attentive, and communicative. 5 stars for The Barns and many thanks for the loving care given to my dad and step mom!

It is always a concern when choosing assisted living for a loved one. That being said, we are extremely pleased and know we made the right decision for our mother! The process from the start has been a wonderful experience. The staff, cleanliness, pricing has exceeded all expectations! The food is delicious! The whole vibe when walking into The Barns is positive and uplifting! My mom is cared for better than we could have ever hoped for! The staff are all caring and fun for all the residents. The facility is perfect for residents of all needs and always clean. We especially love spending time with my mom on the beautiful patio! I recommend Barns to anyone struggling to care for their aging family members!

I moved my mom to The Barns two months ago. She had been living in a facility in Birmingham where the level of care had declined to the point that I was worried about her. A friend recommended The Barns to me so I decided to check them out. It is a small very homey environment. When you enter the house you can smell the homemade food cooking. All the residents are clean and dressed and they hang out with each other during the day. The caregivers are very attentive and there has been no turnover in staff which is so important. The home is very clean as well. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with the care my mom is receiving. I don’t worry about her anymore. I would highly recommend The Barns.

I highly recommend The Barns Senior Living! Both homes are absolutley beautiful and uplifting, the residents are clean and well cared for and the staff makes life there better than any other options I have experienced. My loved ones have lived in big assisted living communities and those just don't even compare with this more intimate way of caring for those who can no longer care for themselves. For the families and the residents the homes feel like a cozy and loving home. When I walk in and smell food being cooked, the fireplace on and residents gathered in the great room I feel so blessed to have found this type of environment for my family members. I will also add that any medical issues my family members have experienced have been dealt with in the most timely, efficient and professional manner. I am so grateful to be able to have that type of care available. I truly believe that this small, family style of caring for people is the only option if you want the best care for your loved one!

This is the third placement for my dear Mom. All the others were horrible care. Just horrible. She has been at Barns for almost 2 years and we have had ZERO concerns. Not a single one! Mom hasn’t fallen. She gets amazing meals and wonderful care. The staff is so attentive and it’s nearly 1:1 care. Small facilities like Barns are the way to go. At larger facilities my mom was ignored. My sisters and I could not be happier. We sleep better knowing mom is loved also. I’d give it 10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ if that was allowed. Thank you Barns!!!!

Barns has provided my loved one with a loving safe home with excellent care. It is a unique setting and superior to other options. The caregivers are consistent and it gives me comfort to know she is happy there. It feels like a home not a facility.
