I've had scoliosis with chronic back and neck pain for several years, and since I'm relatively young (started mid twenties now I'm thirty-two), it's been really discouraging at times. I've seen several physical therapists and chiropractors already, but when I saw the other reviews from clients who have worked with Brian, I had to give him a try. Within the first session, I noticed some things about Brian's work that really stood out. For one, he listens and cares. It's not fake, and it's not just for the first session. Brian actually takes the time to listen to you, and, outside of our sessions, I can tell he's thinking about me and my treatment plan. That really says something, since most health care providers these days are getting patients in and out the door quickly, forgetting who they are between sessions, and offering a cookie cutter approach. But not Brian. Brian actually delivers a custom at-home routine through an app I can use where I check off the exercises everyday. And after working with Brian for several weeks, I can truly tell a difference in my pain levels and my mobility in key joints. I had stopped playing basketball and running and I'd gotten so stiff over the last few years, I honestly wasn't sure what I was capable of doing. But with targeted exercises prescribed by Brian, I've started feeling so much better when playing basketball, like I'm catching glimpses of myself in high school and college when I jump for a ball or go in for a layup. I'm also learning to manage my pain better during the day while I work and at night when I sleep. Thank you, Brian, for being so personable to work with and being so good at what you do. Your staff is super friendly too. I will be referring everyone I know to come work with you in the greater Little Rock area!

I was having difficulty in my lower back and unable to stand straight, very poor posture. Walking more than 100 yards was difficult and painful. Neurosurgeon recommended physical therapy before opting for surgery. Located Dr Brian very close to my home. We met, very friendly and knowledgeable. Very soon he set up a routine that has been very effective. Along with his hands on therapy, working out the kinks, my pain is less and I’m walking much further distances more easily…Highly recommend Dr Brian!

In September of this year I injured my knee. After going to my primary care doctor, she set me up for physical therapy. I asked to use Pinnacle Physical Therapy since I know Brian. I started therapy with Dr Murphy and his assistant Kylie Blanton. From the start I could tell they are different than the other physical therapists I have used.

They spent one hour with me each time, being careful to ask if I had any issues that would cause pain, suggested other things to do at home, and very thoroughly instructed me in the exercises I was to perform at home to help speed up the healing process. It amazes me how much they care and know. I am highly impressed with their detailed care and concern. They sent reminders to keep exercising at home and made sure I was exercising properly. I was given many different exercises to do at their office each session as they talked me through what they were doing.

I cannot brag about them enough. Dr Murphy and his team are the best!

Dr Murphy and Madison are both super friendly and great to work with. Feels like you are going to see friends that are also helping you feel better. I came here for help with pain in my shoulder blades and neck. I'd been in pain for a couple months and couldn't sit or lay down comfortably. I wasn't sleeping much because I couldn't get comfortable. Honestly got relief after my first appointment. Went a couple more times and I'm completely pain free. With previous physical therapist I had endless appointments with little progress to show. But Dr Murphy is able to get you feeling better quickly so you can get back to life.

Dr Murphy helped me solve issues with my body that I haven’t been able to figure out in years. I was having back pain all over, and my mobility, flexibility, and posture seemed to done for… Dr Murphy fully evaluated me and within an hour pin pointed exactly what was causing my issues, and gave me a step by step plan for how to make me better. I would HIGHLY recommend!!

I came to Pinnacle (Dr. Murphy) with severe pain in my elbow. Of course, with a history of injuries and over a dozen surgeries, I assumed I was in it for the long haul. Thankfully, I was wrong! Not only did Dr. Murphy fix the elbow, he also helped me work out some flexibility issues and address my gluts …. All in less than the time he thought it would take! Imagine this perfect scenario - highly skilled, cost effective, superbly personal and the most responsive/communicative PT establishment I’ve ever been to. If Google allowed, I’d give Dr. Murphy and his practice 6 stars.

Currently:
I have been suffering from shoulder pain for 10 months. I have struggled to be able to lift my arm high enough to turn on a light switch and lifting a cup of coffee caused a great deal of pain. I have put off getting PT because of past experiences. Finally in desperation, I spoke to my new pain management doctor at UAMS, and I was given a PT referral. I requested to get PT closer to my home in West Little Rock and my referral brought me to Pinnacle Physical Therapy. As soon as I stepped inside the office, I was elated to discover that Dr. Murphy works with patients one on one. I noticed improvement of my ROM (range of motion) after my first visit. Dr. Murphy was able to literally touch the affected muscles immediately, whereas in the past, 3 doctors and physical therapists failed to even locate the origin of my pain (as follows)…

While living in St. Louis MO (5 years ago):
I began having a very painful spot/knot on my back. I tried over-the-counter medications (pills, ointments, and creams), heating pads, massage gun, and home TENS units with no relief. I saw 3 physicians regarding this pain, and it sent me on a very lengthy and expensive journey:
Primary Care: X-rays to rule out skeletal abnormalities
Rheumatologist: Prescriptions for expensive Lidoderm 5% Patches
Pain Management: 1) Two treatments of trigger point injections in my back, cervical to lumbar, without relief. 2) PT = 4 weeks treatment with minimal results

Past experiences in PT:
When I was given PT in the past for my back pain, my treatment/therapy was given in a very large room with multiple machines. There was a dozen+ physical therapists and triple the number of patients. While I was receiving my exercise instructions, my therapist was working with 2 other patients at the same time. My sessions were 45 minutes, and I was given instructions for exercises. The entirety of my sessions consisted of my repeating these exercises while the therapist watched and critiqued my efforts. ** It was because of this experience, I hesitated seeking treatment which involved PT. It took all of 4 weeks to see the benefits of this therapy, while only doing exercises. The results were helpful but minimal.

Currently (Continued):
Because Dr. Murphy can immediately and successfully locate the source of the pain in my shoulders, I have had immediate results with therapy. Also, on my first visit, Dr. Murphy immediately found the spot/knot on my back that has been causing me unrelenting pain for 5 years.
Chronic pain plays havoc on your physical and mental/emotional health. It is devastating and beyond frustrating having acute and chronic pain with no relief for months and years. I believe without a doubt that God led me to Dr. Murphy. I have been truly struggling to have any type of “normalcy” in my daily life. As soon as I walked in the doors of Pinnacle Physical Therapy and put my painful burden in his care, I felt relief in my body and soul. I recommend Dr. Murphy for any and everyone. Now the vision of my future involves children, grandchildren, family and friends and the many events I want to participate in with them. I just cannot express my hope/joy that this burden has finally been lifted from my very painful shoulders.
