Very efficient check in check out. Staff friendly. I liked the care and concern my friend received while I was there. She said her chicken enchilada lunch was the best ever. She enjoys the activities and socialization. She complained about an elderly employee being unable to care for her properly. The 100 hall smelled nice and fresh but past the nurse station into the 200 hall distinctly unpleasant smell of feces. My friend suggested it might be from all the beans served often.

The nurses can be stern. But in a good way. Love the fact they get there own room. Visiting them at anytime. As some of us work over night. I went to others and it didn't even compare to the cleanliness and organization to other places. Just overall best after care.

Stayed here for 20 days for a broken leg. The staff was first rate. I got better quickly. Everyone was kind and gracious! It was an outstanding experience!

My mom needed a rehab place because the hospital put a PICC line in and her assisted living facility doesn't allow them. She was transferred over to Mi Casa and we were very pleasantly surprised by the experience. It appears most of the rooms are large singles - which is SO much better than sharing a room. She didn't sleep well the first night, she thought the mattress was uncomfortable. The next morning, when they heard she didn't sleep well, they immediately brought in an air mattress, which she loved. She then asked if they had pull up bars for the bed, so that she could help herself get up - within minutes she had them installed. She didn't want to sit on the couch, so they brought her an electric recliner. Food was tasty. The staff though, was what really shined. Everyone who came into her room was so thoughtful and caring. She had a dietician, OT, PT, an onsite dr, the administrator, (and probably a couple of other folks I'm not remembering now) all stop by and introduce themselves and set plans for her. The communication between the facility and my brother and me was superb. In the end, my mom needed to return to the hospital after only 2 nights - but I am so happy to know that Mi Casa is there if we need it! Yes, the facility itself is a little drab and older looking, but the stuff that really matters was fantastic!

If I could rate this place a -0 that would still be giving it too much. They sent my client home with his pic line, he's so dehydrated from not being assisted with hydration, told us he hadn't had fluids for 5 hours, no communication from a NP named Jasmine, nurses swearing at residents and down talking to families particularly LA Vonda and Torrie. In a 4 week stretch my client received physical therapy 5 times. I could go on and on. I am a mandated reporter and have EVERY intention of calling the state. The cleanliness of his room was nonexistent. Photos taken as evidence. DO NOT ALLOW YOUR LOVED ONE TO BE ADMITTED HERE ‼️ Client came home so dehydrated 911 was called and son was advised his Dad should be admitted to hospital so it's definitely been more than 5 hours since my client was hydrated.

My mom stayed here up until she passed away this past January. While my mother suffered from ongoing dementia like issues, the staff was less than capable to handle that type of medical condition. They are severely understaffed, as is all other care centers in Mesa. My mother was in 6 others and they all suffer from the same conditions. No staff, unclean rooms, admin unwilling to listen and help when family is needing extra assistance. My mom needed dialysis twice per week and the times she fought and refused to go, they never contacted her POA, which was me, to say she hadn't been in over a week. No dialysis, my mom dies. When my mom would ring her nurse bell, it would sometimes take them over 30 minutes to come and assist. She wore diapers and needed changing and ended up with infected sores due to not being changed and cleaned properly. I know my mom was a difficult patient but the staff should be trained for that. Instead, they most often got upset and rolled their eyes when my mom needed assistance. Now that my mom has passed away and my family has had time to grieve, we need to find a way to make these Healthcare centers learn to have empathy for the elderly, no matter how understaffed they are. Bottom line, do your research before choosing a center for your loved one. We did, many times and they were all deceiving. ?

I don't know who submitted a review under my name but I did not like this place. My daughter had to have her right leg amputated below the knee and she was placed in MI Casa. She could ring her buzzer for help and nobody showed up.
She was in diapers and the antibiotic given to her intravenously caused severe diarrhea . She laid in the mess and never got showers..her days for showering was supposed to be Sunday and Thursday she got 1 shower in her entire time she was there. She was presented with stuff to eat that was awful. She refused to eat it. She also has food allergies that were noted on dietary restrictions but she received those items ,so she ate what we took to her.
Our family could not get anyone to give us report of how she was doing if we called. We were very angry because 95%of the time you could not get anyone to answer the phone at all!!!!!! Day or night.
We had our own laundry hamper in her closet but some of her clothes came up missing. I personally took pictures of every piece of clothing and personal items that i had taken to her room. Over the past 2 years my daughter has been in 5 post acute places that were reccommended to us because of quality of care..but they were understaffed and 2 of them harrassed my daughter and we had personally removed her from 3 because of lack of care, and no communication. This place was no different than the rest of them.
