2 weeks ago my nurse didn’t have the supplies to do my blood work when they came. Said someone would contact me, they never did and never took my blood work, the next week she came and took the blood work, couple hours later I get a call saying someone at the lab dropped my tube of blood. I’ve called Rita the regional manager a few times. Left messages and still have never got a call back. I’ll call the “733-1340” number and no one picks up you have to leave a message and guess what no one calls back, my Dr told the nurse she has to file a complaint to her managers because they didn’t have the lab work to check the level of my antibiotics I’m taking. This place does not care about their patients

Disappointed, I had Spinal fusion and was assigned Ms. Alyssa VanStan as my therapist. First vist we went over the christianacare home care booklet. Ms VanStan wrote my next 2 visits in the calendar Monday 8 am Thursday 2:30. When Thursday came, I received a call from Ms. VanStan, stating, " could she come earlier that morning, because she did not have me on her schedule for that day. " Confusing 😕 if you didn't have me on the schedule which we both clearly know you did, why would you call to ask to come earlier. Ms. VanStan proceed to tell me she would call me that evening to schedule me for my next visits. I had to text Ms. VanStan @ 9 because I did not receive her call no response. I called again this morning Friday no response. It was 10 minutes after speaking to my Doctors office that Ms. VanStan decided to called me. It was after I spoke to my Doctors office that I let Ms. VanStan know, I would not be requiring her service any longer. Very disappointing.

A 1-star rating is "generous" for the inconsistent scheduling of nurse visits. Where do I begin This is the most fragmented and disaapointing patient care experience I have witnessed. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. Last minute changes in visits is perplexing. With the exception of nurse, Josephine, the rest of the nursing team leaves alot to be desired. W/ home health aide: bathing a home patient at 3-4 p.m. w/ a last minute call due to staffing issues? What patient gets a bath at that time in the afternoon? I hope CC does not fraudulently bill Medicare for visits not satisfied. Falguni Shah, PT and Dr. Stephanie Potts, OT are the exceptional professionals in this dept. W/ the exception of their visits, I am ready to cancel the final week of my mother's visit. Please share this with Patient Relations; I hate to have to reiterate this review, again!

At each appointment you meet with a different nurse. This is often awkward and feels a little weird because you have to start at the beginning, then go through what other nurses said or suggested, and most of the appointment is going over other visits, you don’t build up a relationship with anyone. The nurses were good at their job but I felt more than uncomfortable with a couple because they stood the entire time while I was in bed. I had a chair and table for them but they said they were fine standing.
The nurses would watch me change my bandages but didn’t touch my tube stoma. They did vitals and had a checklist to get through. It was direct and clinical. The nurses were fine at their job but I felt very stressed after some visits. One nurse I had offered her to sit and she said she was fine standing. I have a table but she stood taking notes etc.. my chair, table and room are kept clean. She was very professional but the whole atmosphere was just so awkward and I started feeling self conscious thinking maybe my room was dirty.

I asked a manager from Christiana care home health if there would be repercussions, if I asked to not see one particular nurse and was told No- not. At all.

However the same nurse was sent a second time. Every other nurse only came once. Then I saw one more nurse and the visits stopped completely. 2 weeks went by and I ended up in hospital as my tube was leaking so much and burning my skin.

When I was leaving case managers said home health said they wouldn’t work with me because I was manipulating my feeding tube.

I have had issues with my feeding tube since it was put in and allot of pain so I was in contact with my surgion allot and I saw her a few times. She was giving me direction with my feeding tube on what I could do with it to help ease discomfort.
Anything I did was with the surgeons guidance.

In hospital when the case manager called to ask them about what they said they refused to talk to her. Because of comments made by hospital staff I believe they saw what home health wrote and treated me differently. They had stopped sending a nurse and made an assumption but never contacted my surgion or me.
I have to change my bandages every 2 hours, connect and disconnect feeds and tighten the bumper if it loosens. IR and my Surgion have told me how to do this. This is me “messing” with my tube on my body.
If this isn’t reproductions for asking not to see a particular nurse I don’t know what is.
I now have a home health agency that sends the same nurse and it’s wonderful. There is clear communication.

Very poorly managed with inexperienced aides. ALWAYS short on staff. No communication the day before if your regular aide is out and whether you have a replacement. It’s usually a wait and see if someone shows up. I have had issues with 5 aides prior to the one I have now. There is only 1 other aide who I have come across who has experience. I have one hour and 75% of that time is spent explaining how to do things.

My Mother has been receiving care for over a month now. She has a nurse, PT, OT, and speech therapist also a social worker. We have been very happy with each and everyone of them! I am really surprised by the negative reviews here. We are very happy with your services. Thank you!

Only use these folks if you want to get really ill. Used them for Wound care after a critical surgery and 2 weeks hospital stay. 1st meeting was good and set expectations of weekly care, they would get proper wound care materials for us and train us. They would contact us the night before and set date. None of this was done. Calls to supervisor and managers were never returned. People would show up. Was told once they couldn't reach us on cell phones but never any missed calls or messages. Some staff didn't know how to care for wound. I t became infected. Ended up going to surgeon for wound care and he continues to see her. Had similar experience 10 years ago. Use another service .

After the initial consultation where an administrator promised to provide care for my mother, who has Parkinson's and Dementia (I'm her caregiver), the nurse (Amanda Ross), PT and OT never called or showed, although I was promised they would come here today to start care. And although I've put in numerous calls to my VNA Social Worker, she has yet to return my call. This is a life & death situation, and they truly don't care!!!
