Olubukola Komolafe is the epitome of a medical professional with terrible bedside manners and no concern for patients. She is only about money and control. Oddly, she has Bible verses hanging all over her walls, but her treatment towards those in distress, or anybody regardless of their situation, makes me question how good is Christian goodwill. She acts with no compassion, is combative, stubborn and hypocritical. Extremely unpleasant and unprofessional. She dared to lecture me on responsibility (when I am in fact not responsible for completing her administrative tasks, or for her poor communication skills). People love to throw around the word narcissist, but it perfectly suits her nasty attitude. She is so lazy and unwilling to help that she would rather argue with you instead of looking for information (i.e., work). Only after we sat down did she angrily tell me it can take weeks to receive a ROI (still not my problem. I submitted it 2 weeks before) throwing her hands in the air while rolling her neck asking "Well where is it then?!" If her staff didn't receive it she should've rescheduled, or just go over it with then, but obviously nobody did anything to begin with. I provided what I needed to, but wrongly believed as with most providers that she will take 5-10 minutes to simply go over and proceed with the intake.
When I arrived she was not even aware we had an appointment. She was disheveled because I interrupted her eating. Talk about being unprepared and not responsible for checking your own schedule! Not saying a word, we walked to her back office which stunk badly of her smelly food. While still smacking she sat down and stuck out her hand making the "give me" gesture for my co-pay. My instinct told me something was off, but I was unsure how to proceed and desperately seeking a specific treatment that she is the only provider for in Phoenix on my insurance. After quickly glancing at my form she became hostile and said "Ugh, you didn't finish..I don't know you, why should I help you?" Of course she doesn't know me, it's a first meeting, that goes without saying obviously. That' why you do an assessment. But she was stuck on minor details that should not be an issue. That's what medical records are for, but everything was in fact listed and I requested those records for them. As confirmed, she doesn't know me but it didn't stop her making ignorant comments about my situation, which I revealed involved ptsd from domestic violence. I was vulnerable and being asked difficult private details by somebody who did not care, was pushy and overly annoyed, only to be told to leave soon after because she didn't want to be bothered to look at or type anything. She tried to point her finger at me, not realizing there's 3 pointing back at her. Olubukola Komolafe is unwilling to do anything but take payment. I don't understand why she is in this position with people struggling with psychiatric disorders or trauma. She clearly does not like to lift a finger, does not like people, doesn't treat others with respect, talking only about copay (mentioned 3x while still smacking food in her mouth). Stop being a hindrance and don't make things worse for people. I certainly didn't intend to waste my own time. I left very confused if she is a fraud or legitimate provider. So I reached out to my insurance to let them know and possibly reconsider using her services. The rep tried calling. Of course, not wanting to be held accountable and likely feeling justified in her behavior, those calls were never returned. I would be surprised if she has NOT been subject to disciplinary action. For those that had a better experience - maybe she benefited more off their services, or adjusts her behavior accordingly for certain people. There is no excuse for her behavior and she is actually a huge disservice for those in crisis. Hate paperwork so much, get a new job Olubukola Komolafe!
