My brother recently stayed at Birchwood as a short term resident after being released from the hospital and needing medical care.

The staff is amazing!!! They are very kind, helpful and skilled. They made his stay there a pleasant one.

The activities director, Carla, goes above and beyond to make the residents feel very welcome.

The skilled nurses and physical therapists helped him recover much quicker than he would have on his own.

I'm very happy for my mom she seems to be doing a lot better I'm not sure what is going on with her but I'll definitely look into to it please continue to take good care of my mom she really wants to go back home and be reunited with her dog ! Thank you for taking good care of her much appreciated 👍 great job keep up good work! I could tell she's doing much better

My mom fell and broke her hip a few weeks ago and we had to make the agonizing decision on a rehab with possible long term care because of her Alzheimer’s. I spent a whole day visiting nursing facilities and walked out of them sick to my stomach and in tears. Birchwood was the very last stop for me and I prayed the whole way there that it would be a good experience. First off let me start by saying Angela in admissions is an absolute angel and made me feel so welcome and at ease. From the minute I walked in the door the staff was so sweet and friendly with smiles and “hello’s” then I was approached by their service dog and broke down because it’s so nice to see a pup walking the halls greeting patients and guests. Angela took me through the building and not only is it clean but the patients looked content and comfortable , the other facilities smelled of feces and urine. Birchwood does not! Admissions took the time to place my mother in a room with the sweetest lady and her and my mom get along really well. We even walk in some mornings to my moms roommate sitting next to her and holding her hand. The past few weeks have been exhausting for my family and I but we’re slowing getting used to her being there and she’s content. The nursing staff is amazing and if there’s any concerns they’re handled quickly. The nurses are very attentive to my mother and make sure she’s happy and comfortable. I’ve even gotten close to a few nurses there because they’re so darn sweet! Anything you need they do their best to accommodate, just ask! Down to breakfast, lunch and dinner… if your loved one doesn’t like something you can request a substitute. No nursing facility is perfect and not everyone is going to have the same experience but my family and I are glad we chose Birchwood! Thank you all for being so wonderful!

Entering the facility I noticed it looked and smelled very clean. I noticed the residents laughing. I noticed the staff had a good energy and made the facility bright. Specifically Sharon Cullen went above and beyond. Sharon went out of her way to speak with me, and I have a feeling she goes above and beyond frequently. Very nice people. Keep up the good work!
