When considering a place for your loved one, look elsewhere. My brother-in-law was placed in here for rehab and instead of providing the rehab he needed to get back to his independent living it was his last stop before end of life. The administrator isn't a medical professional but felt the need to constantly insist that he be placed on hospice. They would drop his tray in his room without any assistance to eat, he was left in bed creating bed sores, and given medication that they were told repeatedly that he was allergic to. The lack of compassion that they have for their patients and the family is sickening.
If you choose to bring your family member here, make sure that you have someone that can stay around the clock to monitor the treatment and welfare of your loved one, have your power of attorney and healthcare power of attorney on hand, and make sure that the care they claim to provide is being provided.
From the outside it looks like a good facility, but remember it is the care, treatment, and professionalism of the staff that really matters when it comes to the care of your loved one.

My experience at Katherine’s Place was horrible. The care of my husband and the treatment of family was awful. Katherine’s Place went against my wishes and had a nurse practitioner prescribe medicine that my husband had previously had a bad reaction and they were aware of the reaction. They did this behind my back and never notified me. I found out because my husband was experiencing a reaction. The nurses would not share information. Two different nurses said they did not time to help my husband with his meals. And that is the tip of the iceberg in abuse. I was denied access to his medication list. Save yourself the horror of watching someone you love be abused at this place. I asked for my husband to go home when he stabilized and we had home health in place. Katerine’s place would not allow him to go home in an apparent money grab. Ultimately, I had to call an ambulance and have him removed from this horrible place. Katherine Place is pretty on the outside, but the leadership there is uncaring and lacks understanding and compassion about the difficulties of saying goodbye to someone you loved.

I have worked for Katherine’s Place for many years, helped to open the building, had the honor of taking care of Mrs. Katherine herself, I have meet a lot of wonderful people over the years, and worked with a lot wonderful colleagues, I have seen many success stories come and go over the years, and been there for the last days of others. The residents and staff are like family to myself at times I think I see them more, I have been in many homes over the years and will truly say this is one of the best… love my second family

My mother was in another facility for 4 months and moved to Katherines Place yesterday. Her feet have been extremely swollen for month and I asked several times for the doctor to check them and nothing. I received a call today from Katerines Place and their APN saw her today and called in meds and will be doing labs on Monday. I really appreciate how quickly they addressed her issue.

My mom has been in their care for a year and a half, so I feel qualified to give a dependable review. I have heard nothing but caring and supportive words from the staff and they all seem to know the residents by name. They plan fun activities for holidays and have other regularly scheduled events like exercise class, bingo, and music. The building is clean and smells clean, which is not true of some other places I have visited. The recent remodeling looks classy and the central courtyard makes it seem more like a resort than a nursing home. The food is tasty, nutritious, with lots of extra treats throughout the day. I feel that if/when I need this type of service I would not mind living my last years out here at Katherine’s Place.

Great employees and a positive environment! Beautiful building and garden area. Everything is so clean and well taken care of!
Edit: Wrote that good of a review because employees would be in a contest to win an oculus rift 2. Don't work here. Staff quit quickly and management yells at you.

So far we’ve had a pleasant experience. The staff are friendly and caring. Our mother is happy with her care and although we don’t like having her in a Nursing facility we know they have her best interest in mind and do the best they can to accommodate her various needs.
