This is one of the better Kaiser pharmacies in the area but the experience varies wildly depending on the staff you encounter. The majority of staff there are professional and communicate clearly. Then there is the unfortunate few who seem to thrive on conflict. It’s unfortunate that Kaiser allows behavior like that exhibited by the two staff at the counter today. I came in to pick up a rx the pharmacy sent a “ready for pickup” text about last night. No one was in line but Decided to wander away from the counter and talk to a coworker. She continued her conversation after I got to the counter. They told one person her copay was $2100.00! When she was angrily walking away they asked if she had medical insurance! She’s a Kaiser member…. I swiped my Kaiser card and showed them my order ready for pick up text and she said it doesn’t say ready for pickup, which it clearly did! I had the pharmacist come over and she quickly resolved the issue. I’ve had similar problems with the same staff but the other staff are professional and well trained.

Is a very busy pharmacy., and very curious. They try to be helpful and fill your order as quick as possible.

I've been coming here before and had no problems. But lately they had been very difficult to me just to get my child's medicine. After ordering it at first they said I'm ordering the medicine too early and I have to contact my child's doctor first for me to be able to order it. Mind you they had been saying this almost every time I'm ordering this specific medication. So I contacted the doctor's office and they were able to figure it out and order it for me. So I thought everything was good all I have to do is pick it. Then I received a text saying that there was a delay so I called them to find out what was going on, and found out that they were out of stock. But they did offer a partial just to get through until they get their delivery on Monday which was yesterday. At one point I called them 8 times because when my mother in law went to pick it up and the female personnel told her that they didn't have it. She also mentioned that it was the pharmacist who denied partial refill. They wouldn't give the person's name. Kaiser pharmacy in Walnut Creek did not meet my standard this time and it seems to be getting worse. It's hard enough to have a child with disability and you would think that these people who are in this line of work should be more helpful and courteous but no. They are awful! Something got to give. I'm only giving one star for the doctor's office who did try to figure it out.

For KP pharmacies this is a decent one. The stock is usually better, they are faster at receiving OOS meds, and it is typically well-staffed (they will open all customer windows if it is busy enough). They also have weekend hours. Most other KP pharmacies in the area are weekdays only.

It can get fairly busy, especially early weekday mornings when a lot of people are coming from doctor appointments, as well as the standard rush-hour business. Best time to go is early afternoons. Even on the weekend, around 1-3 PM there is usually no line or it is very short.

My todler was throwing up and I needed to pick up a prescription here. Waited in line for 15 min and was told it would be 30 min. Waited for about an hour and 15 min before asking for a status update. Person at counter said they were backed up with no eta.

Drove to antioch and picked up my prescription there instead.

Best kaiser pharmacy hands down. Fast, organized and well run. They know me by name! Not sure if that is bad or good lol!

Incompetenty run. Have been Told 3 different reasons why my plan covers 90 day med supply but randomly pharmacy only fills meds for 30 days. Very difficult to get a person to answer the phone.
