The 5 stars are for the effort Lisa, the director, gave over the course of several days as my dad was about to transition from the hospital to Windsor Gardens. Lisa went above and beyond, and then some, to arrange the insurance documentation and medical records etc etc needed ahead of my dad being admitted. She answered every question and took and responded to multiple calls and texts, even after the working day was done. My dad stayed only one night but not because of anything the facility did wrong; he was finished with being on his back after a lengthy hospital stay and wanted to go home. When the time comes and he needs to be readmitted back to a nursing home, I will call Lisa first because of her love, compassion, and professionalism. Thank you, Lisa.

My wife was recently here for a month for her stroke. because this is the only place her insurance would approve. The care here from the nurses are 50/50 along with the CNAs, there are days with great staff like Luz, a few other nurses are amazing. But some complain that they have a lot to do and will take care of something later. My wife needed to be changed and had to wait an hour to be helped. She was also promised therapy but was only give n 5 minutes of speech every week and less than an hour of physical and OT 4 to 5 days a week. Food here was really bad and we had to bring her food everyday. Also communication from the social workers were scarce as I had to reach out to them at times to inquire progress. And when I inquire I get a sense of attitude and anger from them doing their job. I hope no one goes through the things my wife and I went through.

I have noticed a vast improvement in the level of service to residents at Windsor Gardens since the addition of Lisa Turner to the administrative staff. Please continue in the positive direction 🙏🏾.

I have grave concerns for my friend who is here after having a stroke. I have seen residents begging for help, only to be ignored. My friend has repeatedly been left in a filthy diaper all day. I insisted she be changed and the cna gave me attitude. She developed a severe UTI, caused by unsanitary practices resulting in bacteria. The staff did not take her situation seriously until my other friend who was visiting demanded help for our friend who was suffering. She was taken by ambulance to a hospital for treatment only to be returned to this place!
My friend has no television, no therapy, no doctor visiting her, no plan for recovery.
The bed she has is not even safe. It is as if she is just waiting in hell. Some of the staff seem compassionate but they are stretched way too far. It is impossible to get a call back from the social worker, so save yourself the frustration. Do not expect a response. The only way to talk to anyone with any authority is to catch them in person. One lead RN who stands out as someone who will listen is Terry. Do not bring your loved one here. This place needs a major overhaul.

I regret fighting so hard for my mom to be at Windsor Gardens. In 2015 my grandmother was here and I was able to witness that most nurses back then were professional and caring.

Now is a different story. My mom is not comfortable because the nurses seem to take issues with patients personal. They get upset if patients need diaper changes and have passive aggressive attitudes towards them. I witnessed it today when I brought mom lunch. Nurses are upset and refused mom's friend to have food I brought for them. That family usually gives my mom food from the outside but for some reason new rules emerged today and they didn't allow her to have the lunch that she had ordered from me. However, I know that patients get food from the outside on a daily basis.

There are very few people working here that are pleasant but I cannot recommend this place for your loved ones if the patients here feel intimidated by the staff that are supposed to care for them on a daily basis.

If I could rate this place zero stars I would. My grandfather was taken here and wasn’t even there 24 hrs when they had to rush him to the ER. We called them to inquire about where he was sent, we were told one place and he wasn’t there. We called again, were told another place and he wasn’t there. When my grandmother called again she was told to stop calling, and not call back again. Highly inappropriate. My grandfather has dementia. They are responsible for his well being and you can’t tell me where he is!?! I understand that the paramedics can get rerouted, but at the end of the day, he is in your care and you should be able to tell the family where he is. The receptionist and their assistant director of nurses, we’re semi helpful. One was finally able to locate him. Then we found out that they no longer had his belongings, most importantly his wallet. And couldn’t tell me where is was. I’ve been calling all day to speak to whoever runs this place, and I was basically told by the receptionist that unless I’m blowing the phone up and consistently calling him that he most likely won’t take my call. This is absolutely ridiculous. How this place is allowed to care for the elderly is mind blowing! I am absolutely disgusted with every single employee there.

I've been here for two months needing a hip replacement. It's horrible! The food is barely edible and physical therapy is about a total of 2 hours a week. Other than that they prefer patients to just lay in bed all day and night so they're not bothered. There's a couple of great CNAs but I've seen the doctor twice in 2 months and he hasn't referred me to a surgeon so I can have the hip replacement. The administrator is a complete joke and retaliates if you complain about anything. I'm currently looking for another place where I can actually get the care I need

Can I give no stars? I have a friend that lives two blocks away from this center & I always saw firefighters & paramedics there through out the years. My sister & myself had our doubts about sending my mom here for physical therapy & we were right. But I tried to be open minded & give this place a try for my mom who has neurological issues & is very weak. This facility also happens to be the closest to my home therefore it’s convenient. My mom got a urinal track infection because they took hours to change her. That was from night one; they’d feed her McDonald’s because they were renovating the kitchen. They’d give her nasty looking tap water straight from the faucet. I had to go there myself & give the receptionist two bottles of water so she could give to my mom & they wouldn’t let me stop by to visit because you needed to make an appointment. So the convenience of being close to her meant nothing. The one time I did get to see my mom they made me sit out side talking to my mom through a glass door. So I really don’t understand why I needed an appointment if they were going to sit me outside especially now that’s raining. I even tried calling to make an appointment & they told me I would get a call back in 48 hours. Anyway If you know someone who’s staying there I wish them the best of luck.
