My grandmother stayed here for over a year before she passed. It's been almost 6 months, but I wanted to come back and write a review because Regent's Point Windcrest were fantastic. She had previously been at another SNF in Santa Ana prior to transferring here, and the difference in attention and attitude were clear. Although she couldn't speak English and had some dementia, the staff were always kind to her and responsive to our needs. Aaron, the social worker, was professional and empathetic every time we needed something or raised an issue. So were the nurses, especially Joe and Jed. Maria, one of the CNAs, would go out of her way to let us know how much my grandmother ate or how she was doing, even when she wasn't assigned to my grandmother. Our family cannot thank everyone at Windcrest enough for how much they helped us in taking care of my grandmother in her last days. To the management, please reward your staff for their hard work and keep up the great standard of care you showed our family.

My Windcrest Experience ~
In June I entered Windcrest just two days prior to a sudden influx of Covid patients. What could have been a negative experience was not! The situation illustrates why Windcrest has earned a five star rating. The action was amazing. Team members made a safe space for all, safely and efficiently by sealing off the front wing for the new arrivals.
I was moved quickly into isolation, a private room at the far back of the building.
Even at a distance I continued to receive the best of care. Nothing was neglected – the nurses, the medicines, the PT, bathing, meals – continued on schedule. I would recommend Windcrest to anyone looking to receive short term care.

RE: LETTER OF APPRECIATION

I am taking this opportunity to express my sincere admiration and appreciation to the entire management team and staff members at Regents Point – Windcrest, Irvine. I arrived at your facility on May 17, 2021, following a surgical procedure which resulted in intense pain to my right hip. Upon my arrival, I was tended to by a professional, qualified and compassionate team, who immediately recognized the discomfort I was experiencing and repositioned me from a transport gurney to a facility bed. During that moment, I realized I had been brought to a facility where I was be safe, comfortable and well taken care of. In addition, my wife Donna was present upon my arrival, and was amazed how quickly and efficiently your staff put her and me at ease.

During the past five weeks at Regents Point – Windcrest, a day has not passed where I felt I was not important to each and every member of your team. From the physical and occupational therapeutics performed by highly qualified and proficient therapists, to the daily medical attention provided by caring and well trained nurses and their aids, there was no room for improvement.

As a result of my condition, I had lost a lot of weight; however, your kitchen staff amazed me with daily delicious and nutritious meals that put more than ten (10) pounds back on me. To the entire kitchen crew, thank you so much.

Your Recreation Room, overseen by Reggie; a man with more compassion, talent and energy than most human beings, provided consistent, dedicated and unselfish service to each and every resident, often going above and beyond to assure everyone was tended to in the best possible light.

In closing, I cannot thank you enough for all you have done to provide unmatched and selfless medical service to a wholly satisfied and appreciative patient. Each of your team members have left wonderfully indelible memories in my heart, and to each of them, I am eternally grateful.

God Bless each and every one of you!
Karl

My father a patient here for short-term stay. The DON, nursing care, PT, OT, dietician, dining room staff, etc. are competent and caring. I’ve only observed for 36 hrs now, but they are all very respectful - even with the patients that are medically/emotionally demanding. I’m grateful that they have a dining room my dad can walk to, activities to participate in, and TV rooms if he wants to be more social. His room has a TV as well. Thank you for taking great care of my dad!
