If you have someone that you DON'T like, bring them here. If you have a loved one stay far AWAY!! From my experience, about 2 out of every 10 employees care, the other 8 are just there for a paycheck and go to the upper parking lot and smoke dope. The pm and weekend staff is just terrible, most of the aids ,I wouldn't trust to water my plants for the week, let alone taking care of someone. The most attentive person sits in the billing department , really great at mailing out bills. The Wexford House motto should be "keep the money coming" I would like to send them a bill for all of the personal belongings they manage to lose. Looking at all of the other reviews, I'm not wrong.

I was there on respite care for 2 weeks and for the most part staff there were cool. The only draw back I have is the one thing I came for and needed help with it was like pulling teeth! I shouldn't have to let it get to the point where I had to call the higher ups to get what I wanted. Just saying.

This place is clean. My sister is there. Many negative reports about the food. It’s that way every where you go. I base it on cleanliness and staff pleasantries. Everyone has been more than nice

This place is a joke. There are a few nice nurses, but many are lazy and have nasty attitudes towards the patients. The place is filthy, they don’t clean or fix anything. Some of the nurses are horribly towards their patients, they let them soak in their own feces and urine for hours on end. Have heard of and seen multiple instances of verbal abuse towards elderly patients. This place is a dump that needs to be either shut down or taken over by a new owner.

My uncle was in Wexford house. Attempting to reach a nurse was an impossible task! The phone would ring forever. When a nurse did answer, it was next to impossible to get any questions answered. The Supervisor and staff were rude. He was then moved to their Hospice,. My Aunt who lived close by asked to be updated on her brothers condition ( she was listed as a contact person). When my uncle passed she was not contacted. She found out a day later! When my Aunt asked the staff why she did get called they hung up on her. Would not recommend Wexford house!!!! They are rude, insensitive and not compassionate.

My mother was released from the hospital to the skilled nursing. Her condition was improving and 2 weeks in the rehab is what she needed to get back to normal. At first glance the place looks nice. However once we got into a room and the nurse checked us in we received little to no treatment again. My mother needs specific meds for her heart rate. None were given over 17 hours. Zero breathing treatments given that are supposed to be every 6 hours. I talked with the staff Doctor 12 hours in and he was alarmed she received no meds and treatments and was going to look right into it. Finally at 1pm when nothing was done 5 more hours later we called an ambulance to take her back to the hospital because without meds and treatments she went back Into AFib. The head nurse had the nerve to tell us our expectations for a 90 year old with dementia are to high! 2 days later as a write this my mother condition has greatly improved and she is back to normal away from the deathbed she was headed towards if she stayed at that place. The only purpose of this review is to perhaps save someone else from the same fate we suffered. By the way I never left her side for 17 hours in fear she would fall out of bed so I can for sure say zero meds or treatments were given.

I have mixed emotions about my parents experience at the facility. While my mother received great attention from the nurses and aids, I felt the facility management were generally not helpful and not welcoming. My parents are at the VA now, and care and respect they receive on all levels is demonstrably better.

I visited my cousin often at Wexford House, during his stay there. I would say the rooms were pretty basic and certainly not spacious. The food was adequate but not delicious. I have been exposed to other facilities when my Mother needed personal care. I would not have placed her in Wexford House.
