Sorry I didn’t post this before but after seeing so many negative reviews, I had to say something. My husband was in this facility from 2017 to 2019 and I think he received excellent care. It is true sometimes they were short but they always treated my husband with dignity and respect,especially with the type of patients they treat. My husband had Alzheimers disease and like other patients with neurological diseases, he could not talk or communicate. I was there almost daily for that reason but the staff developed a way to treat and understand him and I was very please with that. He was rarely wet or dirty . Unfortunately I lost him due to his disease but I can say he had not skin breakdown after two years of care in this facility. They always got him up and move him since he was not able to do anything on his. I forever be great full to all the nurses, aids, therapists and other staff who took care of my husband.

Do not under any circumstances put your loved one here. My mom was placed her for rehab after a stroke. She was a feed because she didn’t have control of her hands yet. The aides would come in put her food down and leave, then outright lied to my face telling me she was refusing to eat. Her roommate came forward to tell me that wasn’t true. After talking to a PA named Tracy they refused to send my mom to the ER and I had to threaten them with police presence to get that to happen. When we got her to the ER her BP was 73/43 and she was very malnourished and required 4 units of fluid which crashed her hemoglobin requiring a blood transfusion. The aides are verbally abusive as is the Rehab department. She was able to walk with a two assist when she got there and now she is bedridden and may never walk again. The place is also dirty and dreary This place needs closed down! I wouldn’t put my dog here.

Worked there. Staff was rude to new employees. I worked in Rehab and the Manager was nasty as could be. Treated me like I was supposed to know everything when it was my first job in the field. The head hunter that got me in and the manager did not communicate at all. Total clown show

This place is an absolute NIGHTMARE!!! Stay away PLEASE this facility is horrible. Wexford Healthcare neglects residents they are just left to lay, they aren’t cared for and won’t be showered unless the family pushes the issue. The living conditions are absolutely filthy! If you are looking for a facility for your loved one look elsewhere. If I could rate this dump a zero I would.

Not a good facility for someone with critical health needs! There's only 1 nurse per side usually and can be thirty plus patients on a unit. Medication could be given 4+ hours late.

It's also not a clean facility. Several days my room was not cleaned. There were ants in the some rooms and even a tick in one of mine.

No complaints with the therapists They were great and understanding with my needs.

The is place is some what of a nightmare. They are understaffed. The rooms are dirty ( something fell on the floor when I went to pick it up an old bed pan was behind the nightstand with waste in it). The house keeping (male) came in the room sweeping with on the bed pan would not leave even when asked. The staff is pleasant but many are not trained well. The barge into rooms w/o knocking, they have private conversation in front of patients, call bells are going off while they are at the nurse's station chit chatting. They are very rough and dont know the proper way to roll when someone is afflicted on either side. It is very sad b/c this is a lovely facility.

My father was here for a month while my mom was recovering from surgery. Ignore the ridiculous posts about the food. Look up any restaurant, and you'll find people who hate the food. If you're here, it's mostly about the care your loved ones will receive. More about the food and the end. He has been in a lot of facilities, most I wouldn't let them send him to again. These staff are the MOST caring people! They genuinely care about each resident and go out of their way to have fun activities daily. One thing I always heard at other places is how understaffed they were if they even visited him at all. Didn't hear that once, they are very efficiently run, and no one slips through the cracks. They play bingo, bowling (with an inflatable ball), and so much more. There wasn't much downtime unless you wanted to be alone in your room. Which is great as he has dementia and the staff would take him to the activities and bring him back to his room afterwards. The residents really care about each other, and they also made my father feel like he mattered.

With respect to food, he had maybe 5 meals that he didn't like out of 3 mealsa dayforamonth.. He's extremely picky- no chicken, turkey, chocolate, cooked onions or apples, and the list goes on. We were very pleased that they remembered and always managed to bring him healthy, balanced meals that he cleaned his plate. He will definitely be returning when we need a facility for his care. This is a diamond in the rough that I never knew about, but my family and I are so glad we found it!

Your loved one would receive more attentive care at a med express. This place should probably be shut down and shouldn’t even be your last resort, let alone your first. Patient hygiene, facility cleanliness, and overall care is at the bottom of the priority list for this facility. Our family’s hard situation is becoming a nightmare since our loved one came here and it has become increasingly difficult to find them a replacement.
