Every time I visit I am pleased with the staff. Alexis, the Executive Director has been there a couple years and takes exceptional care of the residents and the families. Pre and post tornado, everyone goes above and beyond. When you visit you can see first hand the dedication to their residents.

Do not make this a home or a place to stay for your love ones. This place is absolutely horrible! They promise them things just to get them in and then what was promised goes out the window! The executive director Alexis doesn’t care about the residents there. She blows them off when they come to her with needs or a problem. Tyra in HR is horrible as well! Not to mention they don’t have the staff to even cover all the shifts. Tyra is unprofessional! They have a high thief rate and all of the A/C units are out! They show you one cottage which is the model the only nice cottage out there to mislead people. They also raise the residents rent every other couple of months! Please don’t send your love ones here. All of the good reviews are posted by staff that was made to give vitality 5 stars!

I am going to be downsizing soon. This morning I took a tour of Vitality Living - Pleasant Hills. Twanna Love was the Sales Counselor who showed me the cottages. I love the cottages there and Twanna did an excellent job of determining my needs and trying to find the perfect fit for me. Very impressed.

The staff is like family. My Mom connected well with many of the staff. After the tornado, Alexis and staff worked hard to take care of residents and keep residents and family updated.

My husband and I moved here 7 years ago, we lived in a cottage and found that all the personnel are very friendly and helpful any time we needed assistance it was provided to us. Most of the staff are the same ones that were here when we moved and they feel like my extended family. My husband died in June 2014 and the staff was very supportive. I have remained here as this is my home now. We have a very good chef and cooks that provide us good meals at breakfast and lunch at noon as well as dinner if we desire it. The dinning room staff is friendly, helpful and knows all our names. Our cottages or apartments are cleaned weekly. My children are very happy that I am here and they visit often. Dolores C

I teach customer service classes in my work, and one of the things that most people do not do is to use a person's name in greetings and conversations. When I moved my Mom to Pleasant Hills last September one of the first things that impressed me was that EVERYONE on the staff learns the names of their residents right away, and calls them by name when they see them. I think this is really a special and personal touch that you don't get very often! It goes a long way to make "newcomers" feel welcome and at home. Kudos!
