We had such a wonderful experience at UPMCS Magee-Womens in Carlisle. I gave birth there back in September with our first baby. We had such wonderful, kind, and supportive nurses. I had heard such great things about this womens center and we actually switched practices so we could deliver here. We are SO glad we did. Our care both during labor and after delivery was 5 stars. Also, the day before we were discharged there was a food truck outside that we got to partake from and it was a fun touch to our stay. So thankful for these nurses and the staff here at UPMC Magee-Womens in Carlisle. Special thanks to Susan, Rebecca, Brittnay, and Amanda!

I gave birth to my first baby back in July 2024 and if we ever have a second, it will definitely be here. We had to come in to be induced and I was so nervous as a first time mom. My amazing team of nurses and midwaves made sure I understood each step of the process and explained any and all options that I had going forward with my labor. My nurses were so supportive and kind, cheering me on as I went through labor.

My baby had complications shortly after she was born and needed to stay in the NICU for a couple of days. My team and my babys care team were just so thoughtful and helped me navigate NICU parenthood with compassion, kindness, and respect. I was devastated at my baby being in the NICU but was so glad she had such an amazing team to support her and me.

I never felt rushed, belittled, unheard or unsupported while here. If/ when we have our second baby, it will be right here at UPMC Carlisle Mager Women's center.

We had our first here last month and the staff were fantastic. We were originally going to deliver at a different hospital, but ended up at Carlisle and we're glad we did. Very friendly nurses and Tammy the lactation consultant was amazing.

I had my second birth here and both experiences were 5 stars! ⭐️ My provider was Dr. Momon-Nelson for each pregnancy and I cannot praise this women enough! Her energy, knowledge and overall care is one in a million. I’m truly so thankful for her. The nurses who cared for us were Britt, Amanda and Tami. They were absolutely exceptional nurses and I am very grateful I was in their care during my stay. I will always rave about UPMC Magee-Women’s in Carlisle! It was all around a fantastic birth experience and there are so many amazing women to thank for that!

I just had my 2nd baby over Christmas break. Absolutely amazing place to birth! The midwives & nurses are phenomenal! After birth trauma with my first baby, I had my redemption birth here. I wouldn’t want to birth anywhere else! So thankful for everyone that played a part in my healing birth experience!

Around 24 hours after birth we found bed bugs in our room and had to be switched. Not only that, but one of the nurses had the audacity to gaslight us into believing maybe they weren’t bed bugs. She even went as far to say “I don’t know what they look like, so could it be possible that YOU brought them?” when it was obvious that they were in the bathroom lighting and pillows. We even heard the nurses in the hallway talking loudly about the situation and how this isn’t the first time it has happened. Absolutely unacceptable, foul behavior from the nurses as well as the hospital in general.

Aside from that, after receiving my bill from this traumatic event, they have charged me for not only the labor room and post partum room, but also the third room that they had to switch us to.

I do not have enough wonderful things to say about this hospital! I had my first baby 2 weeks ago and the care and treatment we received exceeded all expectations! The birthing suites were spacious and clean. The nurses and staff were so attentive and personable, everyone listened to my concerns and acknowledged my feelings. Thank you to everyone who gave me have the best birthing experience I could ever ask for!

My wife and I could not be more grateful for the wonderful care she received during the birth of our second daughter.

Our experience from labor to delivery to post care was truly exceptional and warm. The nurses and doctors here listen and help you make informed decisions for your babies health! They are attentive, kind, and most importantly wildly competent. Both of my wife and I can be difficult, especially when it comes to decisions for our children's health, but at no time did I feel either pressured into doing something we disagreed with - or that something they knew was important was neglected to just appease us.

Nurses Erica, Lindsey, Tami, Anne, Shelby, Peggy and every single other I interacted with but whose name I did not get are all top notch health care providers and caring women. Trish and the other ladies at the front desk were also great and helped make it a special day for our older daughter as well.

I can't express how grateful we are to all the people of Magee Women's Center for helping us bring our bundle of joy into the world and all the warmth we felt while doing so!
