The staff at Trabuco Hills is super nice and attentive to their patients. I have had the pleasure of seeing firsthand how the nurses treat their patients. They show them compassion, dignity, and respect. It was heartwarming to see people, especially nurses, still care for others in that way. Thank you for all that you do! ❤️ Plus, on Friday the facility provides ice cream for all patients, their visiting families and staff, yay!

This place was disastrous for my mom who was there recovering from a hip replacement. The few days after her hip replacement while she was still in the hospital she did great but once she came to Trabuco Hills, it all went downhill. First, we realized that she was sitting and a diaper for hours a day at one point it was even six hours which resulted in a horrible rash. They never turned my mom over so within a few weeks of coming to trabuco hills, she got a bed sore that was so bad that within two weeks it was stage 3+. We ended up putting her on Hospice to get her out of this dump. Even the Hospice nurse said that there was obviously no additional treatment taken with her wound, nor was she moved around to prevent the pressure sores. We would complain and we would get promises that things would get better, they never did. I don't blame the CNA's as much as the director of nursing, the director of services, social services director and advisor on duty. I could have taken my mom anywhere and she would have gotten better care than she got in the seven weeks she was at this facility.
If I could give any advice, it would be to avoid this place at all cost because patient care is absolutely not a priority. What makes it worse is that this abhorrent care that is given to patients is putting the recovering vulnerable and older demographics at risk for serious complications from the lack of follow up and care.

My mother who is there because she had a fall at home and needed PT, will push the call light to ask for assistance for the restroom and it will take 30 minutes or more for them to come. She has started getting up on her own, because she is unable to hold it, which is dangerous and against the doctors orders. When I called to ask a supervisor why it’s taking so long to get to her, they recommended we hire someone to sit with her and help her with bathroom. We could do that at home. They also suggested that we work on bowel/bladder training and have her go every 4 hours. She is on dialysis and 80, I feel bad for those who cannot advocate for themselves here.

Trabuco Hills post acute is an amazing facility. One of my RCFE residents came here after a stint at the hospital and needed intermidiate care while he rehabed his surgery. The staff was amazing, and the facility was clean and well organized. They have a great physical therapy room and plenty of quiet green spaces in the facility to relax. Overall, my experience with Trabuco Hills post acute was top-notch, and I would recommend it to any families in need of care for their loved ones.

Remember that this is a post injury rehab and not a resort. With that in mind, this facility exceeds most others in the area as word of mouth from other patients shared testimonies . Large staff, great PT and OT, I don’t eat much right now, but the food is very good and huge portions. Everyone else loves the meals.
Daily activities include games and interactive activities. Music afternoons and ice cream Fridays. A hairdresser
Is available on Wednesdays by appointment, etc. I definitely recommend this facility.

Don't walk, run away from this place. They failed to get my mom's UTI results in a timely manner. When they did finally receive them, it was only 2 days after they got the results that they gave her antibiotics and only because I asked about the test results. I got a different story every day when I asked if the results were back. The test was done, the test wasn't done, etc. The aides did nothing to assist my mom eating. They'd ask her if she was done and she wasn't responding. So they would just remove the food. If I hadn't been there to feed her she wouldn't have eaten for several days. Astonishing negligence.

A Place of Healing and Compassion -Forever Grateful, Yet Room for Improvement

My dad recently stayed at Trabuco Hills Post-Acute and we are incredibly grateful for the excellent care and responsiveness of the staff and Dr. Gosh during his recovery. The nursing care he received was exceptional and we appreciate the open communication and willing

Throughout his stay, we witnessed the dedication and compassion of the staff, and it made a significant impact on my dad's healing journey. Dr. Gosh's medical interventions and referrals were invaluable, ensuring Dad received the necessary care he needed to regain his health. We cannot thank them enough for their support during this difficult time. We have posted a picture of some of the staff Val, Nancy, and Kate.

One thing that meant the world to us was the regular updates Theresa, the Nurse Practicioner, and Tanya, the physical therapist provided. Theresa would update me on his medical condition. Tanya would call and inform us about Dad's progress, sharing the milestones he achieved and offering valuable insights into his ongoing therapy. This level of communication not only reassured us but also made us feel involved in his recovery process, despite not being able to be physically present all the time.

The only area where we believe there is room for improvement is the food provided at the facility. Unfortunately, the meals were not up to par. While we understand that dietary preferences can vary, we were hoping for a more nutritious menu, especially considering the importance of proper nutrition during the recovery process. Allow me to be specific. The drinks and the desert were loaded with high fructose corn syrup and sugar substitutes. If the kitchen can remove those from the meals and instead serve real fruits (strawberries, black berries, blue berries, etc) and plain water or water with a squeeze of lemon or orange and a bit of real sugar, that would make this place awesome.

Although the food quality was disappointing, it's important to highlight that the dedication of the staff and the medical care outweighed this concern. While we appreciated the open attitude towards suggestions, we hope that Trabuco Hills Post Acute can address the issue of food quality and nutrition to enhance the overall experience for patients and their families.

In conclusion, we are immensely grateful to Trabuco Hills Post Acute for their exceptional care and support during Dad's recovery. Dr. Gosh and the staff truly made a difference in his healing journey, and for that, we highly recommend this facility to others in need of skilled nursing care. We trust that improvements in the food offerings will further enhance the quality of care provided. Thank you once again for everything you did for our family!

Our live in full-time care giver for my Dad was not impressed with the attention to detail here. We transfered my Dad to a different place immediately. I had great ease in dealing with Liz the Social Worker but, She can't do everyone's job for them to make it better unfortunately.
