After years of having anxiety and hating the dentist, total health dentistry has given me my confidence back. In just a few short months they have been patient, understanding, and as helpful as you could possible imagine. The attention to detail has been fabulous and I only experienced pain when they had to insert the needle for the numbing to occur. I literally cannot express enough how much of a positive experience it has been with Dr. Holt, Dr. Putt and all the other wonderful staff members I've come across. I have yet to have a bad moment at this office, thank you for so many reasons to the Altoona staff members.

My 2.5 year old had a great cleaning, he did so well with them. They assessed him for why he was so restless during sleep, which has to do with breathing and oxygen levels at night. We are very grateful.

I'm completely altering my review. First off a warning. If you have dental insurance but don't know much about it or how the process works. Do not trust what any of the ladies tell you. First visit there I was told " we called that voluntary benefits plan and they said just send the bill to us, so it sounds like they will handle everything ". Unfortunately this made me comfortable...foolishly. So the first visit didn't cost me anything. But then the next visit I was then told I have to pay everything... key word... everything up front and then the insurance companies will send a reimbursement check. Fine. So we did that for the next 3 vists resulting in about 6 to 7 grand. I get a procedure done to my teeth where they fill them in and reconstruct them. My bottom molar was still bothering me so I went in and they said the resin didn't set so they once again played around for another hour inside my mouth. Guess what? Still isn't fixed but I got to the point of what's the use of calling this company again. So I was getting partial dentures made and PAID for them UP FRONT. Now they send me another bill about 4 months ago demanding more money. I called them and basically said wtf is this? You told me everything is paid for up front so there's absolutely no way I'm paying additional money and something must be wrong because I already paid. Well it's been 4 months, was told someone would get back to me...never did so my 4000 dollar denture is being held captive without any word about what's going on, no phone call no email, nothing. So I'm left with changing my 5 star review into a 1 star horror story. Also the place is tiny and there is ZERO privacy. No privacy as in theres not even doors on the operating rooms...not even curtains lol. This place is just atrocious all around. The ladies seem nice at first but then of course it just turns into a scam. Take my advice. Go see a real dentist. My teeth will forever be screwed up now because of how badly this place robbed me.

This is the worst dental practice I've ever had the misfortune of entering. They constantly cancelled and rescheduled my appointments, only once with a good reason. The reception staff don't communicate with each other at all, causing them to call me about the same issue multiple times. They didn't send a referral in, resulting in a necessary surgery being delayed for months, and when I finally decided to leave the practice and request my medical records, they don't send the full medical records even after multiple requests. This is the most unprofessional place due to the reception staff and I highly recommend staying far, far away if you care about your sanity at all.

I would recommend Total Health Dentistry to anyone and everyone. it was my first time there today, I was greeted with kindness and friendliness at the desk. Dr. Holt was very kind to me as all the staff were.
