My aunt had the best experience at The Crossing. She dearly loved both the staff & residents. She loved the food and the activities! She also loved the facility at Christmas time. We were thankful to know she was safe, taken care of and happy!

Both my mother and my sister have received wonderful, compassionate care at The Crossing! The therapists in the rehab unit are awesome and helped both of them get stronger after debilitating illness/injury. Both of them also came into the facility needing wound care, and the team that managed that was fantastic as well.

I arrived here after being n the hospital 4 6 weeks. I couldn't walk, sit up or even hold a cup. My muscles h ad atrophied a great deal. I also was scared. The next day I was blessed with a young lady named Tracy. Then Monica, Jennifer, Frank, Frank, Jessica,. The list is long. The Aides at the Crossing r the heartbeat. I spent three and a half months at the Crossing. Not only would I recommend the Crossing, I have. Be it physical therapy or a resident... press a button and they will have angel beside them. They r the Crossing.

I have a sister-in-law that's a resident there. I'm not her spokes person, but as far as I know, the staff have been good to her and does all they can to help her in every way. They are all very much appreciated!

My dad went to ER with some shortness of breath. They sent him here for oxygen therapy until he got a tank for home that would be about 2-3 days at most. He went on Friday and did not want to do the therapies and my mom had planned to check him out on Monday. Since she could easily take care of him at home at this point. She got there Monday morning at 9. My dad was not same person. He was hallucinating and in some sort of psychosis. (Never done this before). Seemed to be having seizures. Nobody told my mom that he was this way when she went to get him discharged to take care of him. The nurses let him get up and walk halls at least twice. Very high fall risk! Multiple recent falls. He should have been sent directly to ER, acute altered mental status needs checked out It was never reported. He hallucinated for3-4 days. My issue is that nobody sent him to ER and nobody notified family. The director of nursing Maleeai(spelling) just finished her investigation and said that the decline was expected with him having “dementia” (HE DOES NOT HAVE DEMENTIA) and that he was on hospice. He was on home health throughout his stay and when my mom found my dad a different person that she knew she did change him to Hospice at that point. Only because she could get more assistance with him at home and have someone come to our house 5 times a week vs the 2 being home health. So the director of nursing is backing up the lies of her staff and not looking the chart to see he does not have dementia. And see that this man had a sudden change in mental
Status and your staff neglected the patient. Then discharged him being totally different as if nothing happened. He was absolutely not hospice. The director of nursing just told me on phone that the staff expected decline also because he was hospice. This is clear cut lie. Was not hospice until he was discharged from your facility. She said the “staff, nurses and your mom knew he was hospice. Maybe she just didn’t tell you”. My mom is here during call and confirms he was not hospice until discharge bc she picked my dad up expecting to be able to take care of him but clearly this was not the case. And she confirms he has not been diagnosed dementia.

All I wanted was someone to recognize they should have called and notified family and sent him to ER. Just accept responsibility but with this lying it is going to have to be escalated. So I would absolutely not send your family. You are harming your family by sending them to this facility that needs shut down. They should not just be allowed to change their name and wipe all the neglect under the rug. I understand medical staff is over worked. But neglect is still not ok regardless. Personally I think the nurse that places the scapolamine patch behind ear caused an adverse reaction. He had acute psychosis to the patch and seizure like activity. This was a medical issue that should have gone to ER. Not left in bed and allowed to get up and wonder the halls. Absolutely can not believe how neglectful this place is. I always hear stories and understand the end of life is hard but he went in for some o2 therapy. Thankfully he is almost back to himself. But I have to step up and say something or they will get away with doing this to everyone else’s family members. He watched video of himself just now and said I don’t even recognize myself. During all these calls and going up to the crossing and talking the the DON maleei(spelling) she has not once asked so how is your dad now

My mother liked it for she has been in the rehab part when she had her triple bypass. Years later when we went to rehab we moved her over to the nursing part section at the age of 91.
For the most part it was fine until she had major bruising on her side and could not explain it . They said it could be she fell in her room but my mother was weak and could not get up if falling
My mother ended in the hospital as it took them a moment to diagnosed she had pneumonia and the flu, it took them Too long to realize That she was sick even though she begged them to take her to the hospital and she said she was dying. She did end up dying two weeks later in the hospital as I went back to get her belongings, I Found out 11 people died and her hall was shut down because of an outbreak of the flu.
I might be just a little bit angry and want someone to blame because she passed away, but her being 91 makes me wonder because of her age that they did not take her seriously and I always wonder where bruises came from. I give high marks for for the rehab, but I’m unsure about the nursing Home Part.
