My mom has been here for over 7 years. It is publicly funded and her care is free, but not great. They do not communicate well or answer phones on holidays. They have difficulties setting up times to talk with loved ones. They don't en courage getting mobility back or want to get the patient up from bed or let them leave facility. Patients are trapped in their rooms and their clothes dissappear and they don't let themhave their orders from uber or Amazon sometimes

Visiting my mother in law today, She was sent here for a broken knee. I am completely taken aback by the over powering smell of urine first off. She told me today she witnessed another patient being slapped by an employee.. Not only that, she was scared and had asked me to go with her to get her medication because a nurse was "mean" to her. I asked why is she mean? She said because the nurse was dispersing her med's, and the "nurse" didn't want to walk to the second floor again, so she double dosed her o-O Wait What The nurse seen me and didn't say a thing to my mother in law, but she glared at me as if I was public enemy #1 This nurse, in whom I met, This fat ass didn't want to walk up one floor 4 hours later to give my mother in law her dose, So she left all the pills with her to decipher when to take them ? Could possibly lead to an-over does I am disgusted as I've have been here twice and want to pull my mother in law from here due to the extreme neglect. I had the privilege to speak with a couple of residents here, and their responses are the same. I am going to take a video of how bad this place really is. It ins't suitable for a dog. I plan on making a formal complaint. Nobody should live like this. For the record, the photos that are shown for this place are an outright lie. There is a giant water fountain but its empty, chipped and broken. The rooms do not look like that what so ever. All you hear are the moans, cries and agony of patients callingnfor a nurse to change them, askingbfor meds and all the nurses or shall i call them UEI students do is talk to each other, laugh, smoke outside and ignore patients. If you have a loved one here, take them out ASAP, This is down right abuse. I am so pissed, Nobody should be treated like this, Not even a stray animal...

I LOVE the staff! They are the kindest and super knowledgeable. I ended up here for rehab after a gunshot wound and a 3 week hospital stay. I've been here for 3 weeks and now am feeling almost 100%. The exercise facility and PT were great. The food is actually really good, besides a couple duds. I even found a friend here. The social worker has been on top of all my paperwork. I was initially a little gassed about the condition of the rooms but it didn't matter at all. They have constant maintenance keep it really clean overall has been wonderful experience here mainly because the staff really care. Thank you Terracina for your help getting me back on my feet!

I decided to give Terracina 3 stars because if it hadn't been for David, the Facility Director, I would have taken my mother out and found another place on my own. The DON (Director of Nursing), Lala, made excuses for her staff being incompetent and uncaring. She would tell us she would "look into it" but there was never follow up, I agree with others that personal belongings disappear. My mother's sweater, given to her by her sister, disappeared the first or second day, never to be seen again. My mother mourned that loss because it was special. Another issue was the call lights. My mother had a trach and couldn't yell out for help. She depended on the calls lights which would be ignored. if it hadn't been for her texts, I wouldn't have known she was in distress. I would call the nurses' station and get no answers. I would either have to call the receptionist and complain or call David for assistance. I know it is hard to find good people, but you have to be a good leader to discipline your bad employees and a good leader to inspire awesomeness from your employees. I like David and just think he needs a new DON and an assistant to help keep employees in line. This place could be amazing. My mother passed away in May of 2021. I was told it was cardiac arrest and I try not to think about it too much. What if she was crying out for help and was ignored and it led to her cardiac arrest. I will never know but I pray that those placed at Terracina will not have any traumatic experiences. Please David, do the right thing. Require your employees to do online courses, training, to stay on top of their skills and do not allow your nurses, resp techs and others to act like they are doing us a favor. (Relias.com has great training courses). YOU and your facility are getting paid to care for our loved ones. Hospitals and case workers are doing you a favor.

Has to be the worst place to recover and rehab in The State of California. My Loved one was brought here with out my knowledge or permission. The quality of care and ethics are suspect at best. The facility is a facade-Beautiful on the Outside but a real cesspool inside. The environment is very depressing, so many in need and appears that nobody cares. My love one is in a room with 2 other people with a 1980's antenna television a wind up bed and no phone or no phone access, the patients roam the halls like inmates in a correctional facility looking for attention and answers. I have not seen any physical therapy, activities or anything rehabilitative for that matter. The doctor said he was sent there because he's the Clinical Director and he see's his patients daily- he hasn't seen my love one since admittance. Unless you don't love the person being sent here , don't do it! The county Jail would be more comforting and the food surely better. What really angers me is they have the audacity to have a working fountain out front of their beautiful building but bring the patients lukewarm water to drink. Why is The federal Ombudsman Poster on the floor, Behind a desk?

Back in 2007 this was a very decent facility, now it’s dirty and stinks. My mother will sit in her wet bed for hours. I usually change her myself and change her bed. They lose her clothes even though they have her name on them. She is there for physical therapy she has not received her physical therapy, her wheelchair had only 1 foot rest on it and was never given a walker to help her walk again. I would not put any buddy in that place I am taking my mother out as soon as possible. I can take better care of her at home than in this facility where she supposed to be getting professional care

Michelle the dsd is a green snake, they give a CNA 6 showers on station 3 this is against state rules! The scheduler would give the easiest run and station to her native people . The administrator is cool but the DSD seems to be micromanaging the facility. She doesn't care about the working conditions of the Nurses especially CNAs It's groose!

I wish I could leave zero stars. I’ve visited my sister here since 2014. Lockdown prevented me from seeing her until May 5th. I was horrified by the conditions I saw: flooded shared bathroom, no bedding, no functional hospital bed, no drinking water, no personal items or family pictures. I started the complaint process, but my sister passed away 5 days later. The ambulance crew was not given her DNR information. Her doctor never sends patients there anymore. If you have loved ones here. get them out!
