I’m on vacation with my family and my toddler needed to be seen rather urgently. Sutter Coast Walk-In Clinic was my only same day option for care.
The whole experience was 5 stars. The front desk staff was helpful, kind, and attentive. We were seen within the hour of arriving and the nurse and PA were great with my toddler. They completed preliminary labs on-site and followed up with the pharmacy to make sure the order was bring worked on before we left the clinic.
Now we can all enjoy our vacation!

Excellent service. I was on vacation passing through and needed sutures removed from my face. I did not have an appointment but was helped in a reasonable amount of time. Maybe 15 minutes. The PA. Shannon was excellent, very kind and very caring. She removed all the sutures and prescribed and ointment. She was not hurried or rushed even though I had no appointment. I would definitely recommend this place.

I had a solid experience here and got good service when I went in with a ruptured ear drum. Waited for 1.5 hours, but I was still just thankful they could see me at all on short notice and being from out of town.

With regards to the bad reviews: It is not an ER so don’t go with a life-threatening condition; is it not an Urgent Care either so anticipate a wait, bring something to do, and treat the staff nicely when they finally see you. Be glad you can get service of any kind without an appointment and you’ll probably have a good experience too. If you get grumpy because you have to wait (which should be expected at a walk-in clinic) and aren’t nice to the staff, chances are they won’t be nice to you either. You get when you give.

I came here Friday feeling warm and had a horrible earache. So I came to the walk in to get checked and the nurse took my temp and if ran 100.2 and then she said strep is going around so she tested me for that and it came back positive. She was nice but the doctor has terrible bedside manner and was asking me if I had a lazy eye and saying I had a rash in my ears. I told her that it was psorasis and already being treated and then she prescribed me an antibiotic and said I had fluid and swelling in my ear. She didn't give me anything for the pain just an antibiotic. Then wrote me a note for work saying I can't return until March 7th. When I thought strep was only contagious for 24 hrs while on antibiotics. I asked if I felt better, with no fever could I return to work and she said she wouldn't recommend it. I just found out I don't have the time to cover being out that long so I went back in today saying I was feeling better and needed a new dr note for work and the lady at the front desk looked me up and told me that Dr won't be back until Thursday so she can't sign off on it until then. The medical professionals here are horrific. Crescent city really needs better medical care. No help at all!!

Zero stars would be more accurate. I went in for an infection and was told nothing was wrong with me. The Dr. took a culture, refused to prescribe an antibiotic because she "did not practice bad medicine" and sent me out the door. I had to go to Redwood Urgent Care right after where I was treated and given an antibiotic. 2 weeks later with no phone call on results (I left 2 VM) I finally got a call from Sutter Urgent Care saying I did have an infection. This would have turned into a life threatening emergency because I was misdiagnosed and denied treatment. I am having a very hard time not feeling angry about this.

I tripped and fell down in the garage and received a nasty cut on my forehead in the afternoon on 09/24/2018. I walked over to Sutter Heath Urgent Care in Crescent City, CA to get it looked at. A person behind the counter say it looks like you will need stitches. But we do not do stitches so you will have to go across the street to Sutter Hospital Emergency Room to get treatment. I asked if I can go over to Sutter Clinic an see my Doctor. The person behind the counter says Sutter Clinic does not do stitches but they can remove them afterwards. So I went to the Sutter Hospital Emergency Room and a Emergency Doctor treated and stitched the wound and come back in a week he would remove the stiches. I thought about it and made a appointment with my Doctor for to remove the stiches because it would most likely cost less that the Emergency Room. Today I received a EOB: from Blue Cross Blue Shield for $2169.00. Blue Cross Blue Shield is only paying $667.00 and my cost is $1502.00. The Emergency Doctor is a NON-Participating Provider. I’m Outraged this could not have been taken care off at a lower level instead of sending me to the Hospital Emergency Room. This is a service that should be provided at the Urgent Care Level!!

Horrific care. I was in multiple times for a life threatening medical crisis and dismissed and discharged. Poor treatment, many of the nurses and Dr's have bad bedside manner. Better pray you get one who actually cares. Negligent. False medical information reported multiple times in my record. I've reported to joint commission. Crescent city is unfortunately lacking in adequate medical care, compassion and patient rights. I'm terrified to go back. As a former medical professional 10 years, I say RUN while you can. Don't get seriously ill in Crescent City. Yikes! Head to Brookings Or Eureka if possible.
