My wife and I had a wonderful experience with our child being born here. We typically live in the Bay Area but decided to come to Sutter Coast for our birth and to spend our first few months after in the beauty of Del Norte County. Unexpectedly, my wife had several late-term and post-birth complications; the care here was excellent for all of them. I want to particularly thank Dr. Claire Putnam for her thoughtful and creative work helping my wife deliver without at C-section! The nurses were caring, knowledgeable, and helpful for help with things like breastfeeding and swaddling, and the birth rooms were spacious and comfortable. I know it's a rural hospital, but the care was excellent, and I plan to be back.

Labor and Delivery was wonderful. I am so grateful to Dr. Putnam and the entire nursing staff for their thoroughly knowledgeable care. They worked with my birth plan as much as possible, even through some pretty serious complications. I had a beautiful birth and felt so taken care of postpartum. I would have another child here!

I have had two recent experiences with Sutter Coast here and have been impressed with both visits. In November I had an out patient procedure that went very well. The entire staff was professional and friendly. Yesterday I had to go to the ER. Once again I was treated professionally and with kindness.
Thank you Sutter Coast for being there for me.

The nurses are always so rude to people, they have the worst attitudes ever! Don’t even try to speak to the “ House Supervisor “ cause she just talks down to you like you’re stupid. This hospital kept saying I was searching for pills when I went in multiple times a week for 3 weeks due to severe abdominal pain. They wouldn’t run any test or draw my blood to see what was going on. They asked me to explain my symptoms and sent me on my way saying I’m fine. Went to Medford hospital and I was 3 weeks constipated and they don’t understand how Sutter could just dismiss me. DO BETTER!

Went in for a major head injury nurses thank you for your patience kept me in ICU for kidney failure, not head injury but ised my head injury to say I wasn't iny right mind. I left when I recognized they was giving mental pills claiming they was for something else.

I was feeling terrible, went to my primary care physician in Brookings two days in a row and didn't have any answers. My wife decided we should come to the ER at Sutter Coast Hospital. We found out that I was in atrial fibrillation within minutes of our arrival. The condition wasn't immediately correct able and I was admitted.

The knowledge, professionalism, level of service and patient care were comparable with the best hospitals I've been in and better than most. All the staff that we came in contact with were wonderful.To name a few names: Daphne, RN in the ER, Chris, RN in ICU, Teresa, RT, and Dr. Christie, Chief of Staff.

I'm 77, an "experienced" patient and I won't hesitate to come back here next time.

I would give no stars if I could. This hospital does not care about it's patients the nurses sit in thier station laughing and talking about the patients loud enoughto be heard behind a closed door. I went in with severe abdominal pain and wasn't seen for over two hours until I walked out to go to another hospital. I will not go back to this hospital ever. Curry has a new forever patient. Sutter needs to figure out how to be an actual hospital and treat people with dignity and the care they need.

I did a couple of travel RN 6 month jobs here. Best place I ever worked. Docs and staff are outstanding, friendly, welcoming, very knowledgeable. The unit is very nice. Housekeepers are excellent.The team work and support are their Gold Standard. Beautifully done. This is what nursing and medicine is all about.
Thank you, Sutter Coast, for letting me be part of this A+ facility. If I was still part of the
breeding class, I would make reservations now and have a glorious stay. Families and children are welcome.
