Can't get in to see your primary care provider. Takes 6 weeks or longer to get an appointment. My prescription expired by 3 days and had 2 refills left on it and Dr would not call in to renew for just 30 days to get me thru to the appointment that was 6 weeks out. Dr does not the care of the patient as primary. Some people like me travel the entire state for work and it us very difficult to maintain a primary care physician and to be in a specific place on a given date to renew prescriptions. This Dr will no work with you in any way to provide the care she signed up to does a doctor.

I've been trying to make an appointment for my dad. I've called 10 times. The clinic says the dr hasn't sent something. So each time I've also had to call his Dr. Who say they've sent it 3 times. Now the woman at the clinic has decided she cannot talk to me until my sick father who NEEDS surgery, travels the halfhour each way to sign a form.
I am Shocked at the utter incompetence but since they are the only surgeons we are trapped.

Came as an international patient (Canada) for my 4 year old son. Staff was friendly and quickly got us in. Nurse and doctor quickly diagnosed him and gave us a prescription. They were both very friendly and helpful. Great experience!

Prior to attending the Sutter Coast Community Clinic today, my husband called in advance and confirmed the walk in clinic was accepting patients until 4:30 pm. I’m an essential worker who lives 25 miles away. As soon as I was able to leave work, I raced against the clock and walked in the clinic's door at 4:29 pm. The front office staff spent 5 minutes determining what paperwork I would need to complete and whether I would be seen. I was finally told that I couldn't be seen "today," because I arrived after 4:30 pm. It was 4:35 pm. I corrected the staff person (I walked in the door prior to 4:30 pm) and was then told I couldn't be seen because my paperwork work couldn't be completed before 4:45 pm, and the person I would be seeing had to leave by 5:00 pm — ah, the truth comes out. I was then told I would need to come back Monday. I bit my tongue and left.

Fast forward 9 hours to 1:40 am. My sinus health was rapidly declining, so I went to Curry Medical ER. I was treated rapidly with compassion, competency, and incredible professionalism… for frontal sinusitis. Oh did I fail to mention, the folks at Sutter’s ENT clinic tried to convince me that my symptoms “probably aren’t a sinus” problem, since they couldn't be bothered to treat me?

Save your time, money, energy, and sanity by avoiding the Sutter Community Clinic and go to Curry Medical, Coos Bay, or Medford. If you're reading this review, you've probably read other reviews regarding poor service at this clinic. Things were sub par prior to the pandemic. They certainly haven't improved.

BTW Sutter Coast Community Clinic, it only took 10 minutes at Curry ER to do the job you should have done — you would have been done by 5:00 pm and you would have made additional $ for Sutter Health.

Im 59 yr old woman in april i saw Dr reed. I was treated rude, called a liar. I have blown discs in my back, right leg goes dead and numb and i have pulmonary issues.. She has all the facts and has done nothing. I fall due to my right leg i have great pain at night so i dont sleep much at all. I struggle to breathe at night due to her refusing to give proper asthma meds. Im failing to thrive! Family history heart problems, cancer, diabetes and life span that does not reach 60 yrs of age. My daily life has become full of pain.. dr reed is dangerous arrogant.. If u cant sleep, cant eat right, cant function right that's failure to thrive! As i said facts are there yet no help, no remedy, no compassion , no care at all!! Neglect is doing harm yet she took oath to cure, to heal.... This is just some of what i go through this isnt even the whole story... With holding treatment, neglect and pure laziness! You know she sure is taking payment from my insurance! Fraud in my opinion!!! Again health care in crescent city is dangerous, leave run move far away!!!! Docs here will kill you! Almost has killed me! This last year had 5 people go in for care. Three were treated like gold and two were given substandard care. Same insurance but 3 had 35.00 copay those were the ones treated well given better docs and care. They documented and sent results to sacramento. To all who been given bad care, ignored care and threats from mrs roland file complaint with partnership and medical. Join in class actin against, dr.reed,dr.lee and group as a whole corrupt, racist, and unfair practices. If we do not stand together nothing changes and more will suffer, die and become much worse.... Thank you plz join in sacramento... The 5 people who are involved in exposing negligence, malpractice and refusal do thier job, these were county employees working in various departments.. Found sutter health to be appalling!

If I could give zero stars, I would. Dr Adrouny treated my FIL for lung cancer.

When my father in law initially went to Dr. Adrouny, staff were not prompt in contacting him back and there was no perceived push for prompt evaluation of his cancer. Dr Adrouny then recommended chemo and administered the initial dose. Within a week, my FIL was hospitalized for low potassium and sodium and had lost the strength to walk.

When I contacted the office to discuss concerns regarding continuing treatment and to ascertain the doctor’s insight (as my FIL was moving down to AZ with us for better local services), we were told by his nurse that my FIL had several good years left. Despite my concerns regarding how badly the chemo impacted him (concerns that were difficult to pass along because it was very difficult to get a call back from anyone in the office), my FIL was given a second round of chemo before moving down here.

When the oncologist here saw the records he stated that no genetic testing of the cancer had been done to inform the choice of what type of chemo to use and that he had “no idea what is going on with his cancer based off the documentation and have serious questions as to the quality of care he was receiving”.

This was mid-September, initially diagnosed around early June. My FIL is currently on hospice per the recommendation of the oncologist here and is likely to pass within a very short period of time.

Due to Dr. Adrouny and his office, we were not made aware of the behavioral and emotional impacts of a tumor in his brain (the lung cancer had already metastisized to the brain and lymph nodes, known by Dr Adrouny) which impacted our ability to care for him. We made choices regarding how much time we were able to take off work to spend with him based off the idea of having a much longer time with him, time we will never get back.

I don’t know if Dr. Adrouny and his staff are incompetent or if they are primarily focused on income via chemo treatment instead of recognizing the very possible debilitating side effects of treatment, but either way, they have very negatively impacted us.

While I recognize that this may come across as an emotional post based in grief, I assure you it is not and is a post based in the illogical behavior and poor communication of this clinic. If you have a choice to go outside of this setting for evaluation and treatment, I highly recommend it. Please be aware that in weak patients, chemo can kill you faster than cancer due to the damage it can do to various organs. While I don’t know if that was our case, with a brain tumor it would be hard to say, I can say that we would have made very different choices if we had been given appropriate expectations.

I posted a previous review and promised to come back and provide a final review. Sadly they lost a star, after spending about 10 hours in the ER the E.R. Doc spent approximately 30 seconds with me in a dimly lit hallway and spouted off a diagnosis without any questions, tests or due diligence. Prior to leaving I saw him one more time (by request) and he had the same diagnosis. Upon making suggestions he chuckled and ask how much time I spend on the internet, little did he know it was another doctors suggestions. I left, the next day my condition was twice as bad as when I arrived at the E.R.. I rushed myself 3 hours inland to another E.R. where the doc (who had a higher patient count and less staff) took 5 minutes and asked questions, listened, ran several practical tests, came up with a different diagnosis than the goofball in Crescent City and within hours, my condition went from unbearable to significant progress. Go to Asante in Medford, it's worth the 3 hour drive. Including the drive I spent 4 hours less by doing so.

I will come back next visit in hopes of a better outcome.

Prefacing by saying we LOVE the hospital. This review is for their clinic, which has proven to be a disappointment on multiple levels.

We relocated from Paradise. We were very fortunate to be given the opportunity to establish care with Dr.Dunn. My daughter's both see him. His knowledge has been an assett to us and in the short time we have been here.
Though this is a small community, it's growing. I'm glad Sutter Coast has had the forthought to hire him, along with Physiatrists and pain specialists.

My daughter has a rare disease, we've spent the last 14 years in hospitals and Doctor's offices. It's good to know they haven't given into to the fastfood medical care so often present.

With a growing community, it's important to provide talented care.

Thank you
* update*
And... The magic is gone.
We were notified that Thursday is his last day.
After doing some research, we're told told Sutter Coast has " traveling" medical professionals, even at the hospital, though I'm not sure that's the reason he's leaving. People are having to drive or get transport to Eureka if they have Partnership.
Seems odd, given the growing community.
They also rely too heavily on FNP's. My personal experience was waiting for a month for scheduling, and with a medical history the" powers that be" chose a FNP rather than Internal medicine or M.D. my Care coordinator was surprised by that.

Only time will tell

Updating. We're on our 3rd PC since we've moved here. My daughter's first meeting with another Primary today.A complete lack of understanding and respect for a chronically ill patient, who is self advocating and knowledgeable and organized with a list, something every Physician and Specialist over the years has appreciated. It's going to be too stressful to explain everything to a new Doc every 3 months. We'll have to go elsewhere.

Updating again..
Just going to file a complaint.
We've had difficulty with referrals, no communication with Physician's. Years of experience with multiple clinics, handfuls of Specialists, and prescription renewals, I've never experienced anything like this. Our Doctor's offices at St. Joseph can't seem to get them to follow through either.
They've caused serious delays, our Doc's actually have orders sent to St. Joseph's now.
The latest delay in medication renewal caused so many problems for me this time, and I'm presurgery.
Absolutely no one listens or understands you don't just go a week without a script.
We have been slowly moving our Doctor's to Eureka.

Go up
