Experiences can vary, but anesthesia is the key to patient comfort during dental procedures. Dr Suffridge injected 3 sites and surprisingly there was essentially no pain with his technique before a root canal. I found his explanation before and after procedures, including the option to have an extraction by my referring dentist to be honest and complete. Not all patients will desire a root canal, but having the option explained, including the risk of ultimately loading the tooth makes for good informed consent. His office staff was pleasant and also provided explanation.
Yes, these procedures are more expensive than extraction, but the training, time, expertise and modern equipment explain that.

Today Dr. Suffridge made me feel like I made the wrong choice by trusting him. He’s very knowledgeable and knows his stuff BUT the way he talked to me today reminded me where I was, in Arkansas. It’s sad to say in 2024, you can feel like that. I went in so positive and left in tears. Not because of the procedure,but because he made me feel less than a person. I was nervous granted going for a root canal and I even expressed that. I moved one time doin the procedure and he went off on me. Saying he’s not going to put up with it. I looked like wow. Then he went on to say that he was going to ignore me from that point on and referring to the story, the boy who cried wolf as if he was saying that’s me. I’m 40 years old, I’m not understanding why this man is talking to me like this and I’m paying. Front desk person was rude. Idk what was going on. But I feel like the color of my skin predicted my treatment today. I will never go back and will never forget how I was treated today. If you’re black, please find another Endodontist. Please.

No one enjoys going to a Enterologist Dentist for a root canal but when you have no choice there are few better than Dr. Suffridge. I had a bad toothache in a tooth last worked on by the fine Dentists in the U.S. Army. The Army Dentists liked to use nice large fillings. I was sure the tooth had to go but Dr. Suffridge was able to save the tooth. I could tell he had a lot of experience with problems like mine and he expertly took care of the tooth, advised me on the next steps I needed to take, and he answered any questions I had.

I didn't have any problems with him or his staff.

Front desk assistant was rude when I asked why was I Paying for $115 consultation, which took only 2min and was 20 min after the time I had scheduled. Only to be told that my tooth needed to be extracted but his office doesn't do that - "go back your dentist to see". Didn't suggest where I could go for the extraction.

Dr Suffridge was rude & ruff and he got the last buck from me he will ever get. I will drive to Monroe LA or Ruston before I would return to him. I was referred by my dentist to use him, and I told my dentist I would not be using Dr Suffridge again.
