I love this stop and shop because they carry african groceries like Palm Oil, Titus, Ghana peanut butter and stuff from the UK, like mcvities digestive biscuits the only thing I was disappointed was when they increased the prices of my ghana groceries within the fews weeks that they introduced it on the shelf 😑

Briefly left my cart unattended to grab something in the next isle. Came back, cart was gone. Finally found it up front. Continued my shopping…ANNOYED. Paid. Got home and discovered they took out the milk and creamer and put it back. Not happy I had to go back out to get what I already had put in there before the immediate cart tear down in 60 seconds

It's always the same with you. Last night, I bought a packaged salmon from the right side of the fish counter. I wanted to eat it today, but it's no longer edible because the fish stinks.
This is the fourth time. I have to come back this evening to get my money back.
Could you start selling people decent products?
And remove all finished products from the shelves. It's making people sick. Most people even trust it because they can't imagine that the industry wants to make people sick. It all needs to stop. Everything here is just about selling, no matter how harmful many products are. I also hope your fruit isn't sprayed with pesticides.
How about selling water in glass bottles? That way we can possibly prevent people from getting sick from plastic. (Cancer)
But you're not thinking that far ahead, are you?
Especially your sushi. There's sugar in the rice, and it makes people fat. And the fried, hot food across from sushi? It can't get any worse.
The list could go on forever. It's really about time other supermarkets opened here. Aren't you surprised why so many Stop & Shops are closing? Why is yours so empty during the day? There are hardly any customers. Especially since the shelves are so dirty, never replaced, and there's always something rotten smelling when you approach the red meat section.

The stock levels are down a bit and constant issues with the handheld scanner system. Those issues prevent a higher score. Produce us fresh and pricing is good for most items.

The fruit is bad if you buy organic they charge your 3x more than whole foods.
The options are terrible! The chicken filled with additives and antibiotic just nothing organic. Shop Rite is 100% better and so is Whole Foods. Terrible

The person at the fish department should be working at Walmart instead. I was in a hurry. He knew and take all the time he could. I told them a couple of times to skip the process of wraping my to sides of salmon individually and all that ritual an he just ignored me a kept taking his time. Poor soul.

The store itself is fine, but I've had issues the last two times I've done an online order for pickup. Last week my order had multiple substitutions without confirming the changes (not a huge deal, but most other locations will at least do via text or email to confirm these changes before the order is picked up). Then today, my order was supposed to be ready between 1 and 2pm. I arrived at the store a little before 2pm, and was told my order still wasn't ready. I waited in the parking lot for over an hour before the order was ready. So the order was ready two hours after it should have been. The people in customer service were apologetic and kind, but still, some sort of message should have been sent in advance if the order was going to be delayed. I'm very disappointed, and have never had such a poor experience with a store's pickup service before.

I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding the behavior of one of your employees, “Wanda,” at the Somerset NJ Easton Ave Stop & Shop on October 13, 2025.

Yesterday evening, my three-year-old was running a fever, and I could not locate my thermometer at home. I decided to visit your store, where I regularly shop, to purchase one. I arrived approximately six minutes before closing, at 9:54 PM. The doors were already locked, but an employee kindly opened them and apologized, allowing me to quickly enter.

Being familiar with the store’s layout, I went straight to the medical aisle. At approximately 9:57 PM, as I was heading toward the exit, I heard a woman loudly say, “Ummmm helloooo, we are closing.” I responded politely, letting her know I only needed a moment. I immediately began to exit the store — I did not locate a thermometer, and I was not attempting to make a purchase at that point.

As I was walking out, the same employee, “Wanda,” approached me and said, “You gotta go!” I reassured her that I was leaving and would be out of the store by 9:58, before the 10:00 PM closing time. She then looked at her watch and said, “It’s 10!” I pointed out that my iPhone, which displays accurate time, showed 9:57 PM. Her response was, “I don’t care what your iPhone says, my watch says 10, so it’s 10 — you gotta go.”

As a business owner of three franchises and my own practice, I hold customer service to the highest standard. The way I was spoken to — while calmly exiting the store with urgency due to my sick child — was completely unacceptable. I do not wish for anyone to lose their job, but I strongly encourage management to review the camera footage from 10/13/25 around 9:55–10:00 PM. The footage (and any available audio) will clearly reflect my account of events.

I respectfully request that proper training and accountability measures be taken to ensure that customers are treated with professionalism and respect, even close to closing time. I will also be following up with both store management and corporate to ensure this matter is appropriately addressed. I will also follow up via certified letter to this location and email , I will CC all management to ensure I include all.

Stop n Shop pharmacy is the most organized with its most friendly and outstanding staff. The pharmacist are very professional and always willing to precisely answer any question and offer any help. It's a pleasure going there. Thank You for being there.

This Stop & Shop is underwhelming, with a vibe that’s almost eerie—like wandering through a scene from a Boris Karloff serial where nobody’s around. The store is often oddly quiet and lacks the lively atmosphere you expect while grocery shopping. My recent experience was disappointing: the bagels I purchased turned stale in less than 24 hours, raising questions about their freshness. While the store covers all basic needs, nothing really stands out. For better quality and a more inviting feel, other groceries may be a safer bet.
