I recently went in for an ultrasound at Saint Luke’s and had a really positive experience overall. The nurse who took care of me was incredibly friendly and made me feel comfortable right away—super professional and just genuinely kind. Everyone I interacted with was welcoming and chill, which helped ease any stress I had.

The only odd part was the person handling check-in on the first floor—she came off a bit strange!

The Surgeons and OR team were amazing. The unit that my wife ended up on was dirty, and the staff less than friendly. Her room was a shoe box with literally dirt finger marks all over the closet door and walls. It looked like someone was trying to escape and lost! They had no boxed meals on the unit for her to eat either. She was a walk in admit post-op. There should have been a box meal for her to have when she got to the unit. The bed almost fell back when we tried to lift the head of it. Just unkept. Definitely not safe for someone who had major surgery and a chest tube! Risk for infection is definitely high. Let's not even discuss the lack of gloves that I witnessed staff neglecting to wear while providing care, and the open specimen cups of betadine sitting on a portable heater that was open to air. Nothing about this unit screamed that you should even trust your dying dog being boarded here. The Anderson campus is way better. I went to use the visitor bathroom and it was even more disgusting. There isn't any excuse for the conditions!

Doesn't even deserve a 1 star review. My family member was transferred here after a few days at St. Luke's Lehighton (I highly recommend that location!!). Nurses were extremely disrespectful with the exception of a couple of them, one stating to my mom she was "taking the chairs from her room because other patients have visitors that want to see them and [she] doesn't". Within 48 hours of her being there they didn't bring her one of her meals, and one of the nurses (God bless her kind soul) gave my family member her personal lunch so she wouldn't go hungry. If you value quality care, DO NOT GO HERE!!!

0 stars if i could. DONT COME HERE!!!!! I come to visit a family member who is a CHILD admitted into this disturbing hospital. Nurses sit their gossiping, staring, and on their phones doing absolutely nothing. I go to make my family members bed only to find out she has been laying and sleeping in her OWN throw up overnight into the next day which was at exactly 2:30pm. No one changed the sheets. I was absolutely horrified by the neglect the nurses in the pediatric care. DO BETTER. I told them this is unacceptable and unprofessional ! All her food was cold and her milk was warm. Mind you at the time she was the ONLY child in there. 10 nurses none of you did nothing for a child? CRAZY.

This was my first experience with St. Luke’s, and I was very impressed. After a bout with the norivirus and a fall at her nursing home in Schuylkill County, My 92-year-old mother was in bad shape with the virus, rhabdo, and pneumonia. This was her 3rd hospital in 24-hours as she needed a trauma center due to possible brain bleed. She arrived the eve of Jan. 9, and the ER doctors and nurses were AMAZING! Mom needed a TON of care, and they provided it with compassion AND explained everything to me in detail, which was very comforting. Eventually, she got a room upstairs, where we experienced the same level of professional care. I am convinced that the professionalism shown to mom over her five days there saved her life and her QUALITY of life. She is doing well! I am very grateful!

My boyfriend was transferred here 3 days ago after a snowboarding accident. for the first 13 HOURS he was left in the hallway without a room. he was in horrible pain the entire time and didnt sleep because they refused to give him stronger medication and gave him the lowest dosage even though his injuries required surgery. every time he pressed the call button the nurses and doctors blatantly ignored it for hours at a time. he was in terrible pain the entire stay, the doctors have absolutely zero sympathy and no concern for his wellbeing at all. at one point, his nurse said she would give him medication so he could sleep at 12:40. she seemingly forgot about it for an hour and he waited in pain, even after pressing the call button. after he finally got his surgery the doctor came in to clear him and left without doing it. he did not return for 6 hours to do something that would have ultimately taken 10 minutes or less to do. he is now home at 12 in the morning in extreme pain because his meds have worn off when he could have been at home sleeping comfortably if it weren’t for the negligence of the staff. I am absolutely disgusted and appalled by the treatment he received here. The doctors showed absolutely zero concern or compassion for him at all. If you do not enjoy seeing your loved ones in pain, do not go here.

Terrible Emergency room! I brought my husband in with chest pain. He was sick and vomiting and there were only 3 other people waiting. I told them he's had a stroke in the past but they just had us sit down and wait. My husband kept getting up to vomit and said he felt really bad. I kept going up to the window to tell them to at least take his vitals and they kept saying they're calling in the back to have someone come up but nothing happened......we waited over an hour before he was finally called back. Within 5 minutes of him being checked out, the room filled with staff because he was having a heart attack!!! Within 15 minutes, he was prepared for surgery! He could have died in that waiting room! Disgusting!! We'll NEVER go back there again!

Doctors are decent , the nurses are a joke and night mare . If you're in extreme pain drive the extra time and go to another hospital because, this staff truly does not give 2 shits about you . 45 min to 1 hour wait when asking for the simplest request. They never check up on you. Completely childish and 98% of these nurses should get there license revoked. Specially the African American nurses and I'm African American
