I went in feeling like garbage. Explained I had just come home from a bus trip with 40+ women. Doctor looked at me for about 1 minutes, said I was fine and sent me on my way. A couple of hours later, my friend from the trip called to say she tested positive. I called my primary, she got me in on an emergency visit, I tested positive. Why didn't the doctor at urgent care test me? I had all the symptoms, told him all.my symptoms. He wanted to give me tessalon perles for my cough, I said those really don't work for me. My doctor gave me cough syrup with codeine. Don't go to this urgent care, they are neither urgent or offer care!

We had a great experience at St. Luke’s Helath Center in Forks Township. Reading through other reviews my expectations were low. I was almost a little nervous about it. First and foremost our receptionist was lovely, caring and professional! We were seen within 15 minutes. Our nurse/technician, Mark was EXCELLENT. Now, this was our 4 th visit to a medical facility this week, and Mark gave us more information to go forward with than all 3 of the others combined. He spoke to my husband about ways to improve his condition
he gave me, as his wife, lots of suggestions to assist him with his condition. Then we met Dr Giles. He asked questions, he listened to us. And then gave us recommendations and instructions we could understand. He treated us with care and respect and put us at ease. I don’t know what was going on previously to warrant 1 star reviews but whatever it was it has been corrected. This facility is exactly what the doctor ordered for Forks Township. 😊

Waited over 2 1/2 hours for a drug screen. 5 people that checked in after me where called back. I asked the male receptionist and he said that he said something which he didn't. The rude make nurse in the back said that I was cutting in front if other patients. 2 of the people that came in after me where there for drug test too. Very unprofessional and both the males had an attitude like they did me a favor. Worst place to go for anything medical. Suite 4 is thus place. When I said that I'll be filing an complaint they both said either so ir I don't care.

Update: I wanted to provide this update but also leave my initial review for reference.

St. Luke's reached out to me regarding the issues I had. I expected it to be a 'check the box' interview but was very pleased when the first thing I was told was that they were already putting changes in place. Specifically, they internally addressed the issue where patients can overhear staff conversations by retraining and even said they were looking to put in noise machines to muffle the sound.

Most importantly for me, they took my complaints about the doctor seriously, which I much appreciated. The representative listened carefully to me and was very empathetic. They even offered a doctor that they thought would be a better fit. I am going to take them up on that offer.

I am hopeful at this point and will try them again.

What follows is my initial review.

Like other reviewers, I really wish I read these reviews before making an appointment.

To start, the examination room I was in was right across from a reception desk or something similar. I couldn’t help but overhear the staff commenting out loud about how another patient was being a bother by asking questions in preparation for a minor procedure (I won’t give more away because I don’t want to give even a hint who the patient might be). These were appropriate questions patients might have such as will they need a ride or can they drive, will they be numbed during the procedure (this invoked a snarky response along the lines of “no, we’re just going to do X”), and so on. Apparently, though, it was enough of a bother to comment on extensively within earshot of others.

Then came time for the doctor. I’m a new patient so there’s very little history in my chart as I transition to a new network. I stated my main reason to be there was for my annual exam, to find a new GP, and review bloodwork results I received recently.

In reviewing my medications, I stated that I didn’t want to change medications as everything is working great. The doctor, without a history in front of her or asking for more history, indicated she would not prescribe one medication I take. After that, it wasn’t even worth continuing because I’ve dealt with physicians like this many times before - unwilling to treat an individual, dismissing or not even inquiring about a history, and instead making general assumptions.

I then asked to just review the bloodwork and provide me guidance, and to finish the physical. Once again, no questions on my history when discussing the bloodwork and I was given advice I could have Googled to get answers about. I even stopped the doctor at one point and pointed out she didn’t ask me any questions about X.

I had other concerns I wanted to bring up that I will now have to find a physician to address. It won’t be here and probably not St. Luke’s since this is the second time I’ve used the network and the second time I had a bad experience (the first was another location where I went for a checkup after losing weight for no reason and the doctor came into the office with advice on how to lose weight - great reading and listening skills there). I’ve luckily had great experiences with their hospitals for surgery but so far the family practices have been infuriating.

Do better, St. Luke’s. Do better. We’re not bothersome, flaky people who all fit the same mold. We’re intelligent individuals with unique needs.

Really wished I had looked at the reviews before scheduling a new job drug test here. They STOP doing drug tests 3 hours before close. Drove 45 minutes just to have to come back tomorrow. Noone was in reception for the first ten minutes I was there, finally someone came out to tell me to go away. Now that St Luke's has cemented it's monopoly in the Lehigh Valley, our already horrendous health care system in USA will be even worse here.

Arrived and checked in at 1:30, was told there was a 2 hour wait so we drove home around the corner waiting for a call back, finally got the call at 3 to come back because we were supposedly next in line. An hour and a half later and we went in the building to assure that we were still going to be seen and was told that “there is a wait” and we “have to stay in our car if we have covid symptoms” passed three people coughing in the waiting room as we returned to our car. Never returning to this practice. Receptionist has no customer service skills.

I was scheduled for an 1130am appt by the st lukes in Whitehall for this location in forks because it was closer to me. I showed up at 1120am and waited in line since there was only 1 person at check in despite the waiting room being full. I showed her my appt paperwork for 1130am and she said they didn’t have me in until 130pm. I asked if there was something she could do because I made my appt for 1130am, the earliest they had available. She said all she could do was put me as a walk in and i would have to wait. I waited an hour in the waiting room. The nurse took me back to get my vitals and she left this room over 30 mins ago and no one has been with me. I’m wasting my entire morning and afternoon here. I still don’t know how long it will be until someone comes in this room to see me. Terrible experience. I’ll just go to the location farther away next time if this is the experience I can normally expect.

The staff’s attitude and professionalism in Care Now is terrible. The Nurses and Drs. are rude and when asking questions, I was shocked in their responses. A case of its not what you say but HOW you say it. As a previous commenter said, Morgan acts like she doesn’t want to be at work or has no personable interest in her career. Very unfortunate and will not return.
