My mother couldn't get an appointment with her primary, so she went to this urgent care. Presented with sore throat, headache, a bad cough, shortness of breath, fever, fatigue - CLASSIC SYMPTOMS OF COVID OR FLU. She has comorbidities of the heart and lungs. She waited for hours before being seen, which may or may not be the fault of the staff. She was asked if she'd recently been somewhere "where there were a lot of people", which she answered she had. They diagnosed her with pneumonia and gave her a prescription for an antibiotic. BUT THEY NEVER SWABBED HER FOR COVID OR FLU. Guess what? She has COVID. We wasted a day that could have put her in the hospital, AND MAY YET PUT HER IN THE HOSPITAL. She took an antibiotic that probably did nothing but make her a little more resistant to the next bug, including some she may have to fight during this particular bout of illness. NONE OF THIS IS BEST PRACTICE. In this case, the patient and her family did all the thinking, and we were the ones who did the test at home. My mother got in touch with her primary's office the next day and got treatment. Judging by this experience and recent reviews, St. Luke's should take a hard look at this urgent care practice. My mother did the right thing when she went seeking help, but the staff at this practice didn't really help her. That's awful.

We had a very negative experience with St. Luke’s care now today. The care was definitely not up to St Luke’s. Excellent standards. We waited over two hours to be seen by a doctor and the doctor did no physical examination and asked no health questions. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE He diagnosed her without looking at her! Just left me as a father feeling very uncomfortable and worried and most likely we will have to go to the emergency room now to receive actual care for a physician who cares.

Unfortunately after my second experience with the same doctor I was thoroughly disappointed. Dr. Burtaine joked consistently about finding his badge in the parking lot and I am beginning to believe this is true. After hearing other similar experiences, he disregarded all the nurses notes, didn’t want to do any testing on my toddler and had given a mediocre exam. Based off his unprofessional manner I feel he shouldn’t be practicing anymore. I do not feel comfortable being seen at this urgent care again. Next time I will go to Wind Gap.

My experience at St. Luke’s care now was absolutely horrible.

The doctor ( Doctor Jeffrey Burtaine) did no examination on me. Did not check my lungs no abdominal exam despite my symptoms. He told me more about his problems than talking to me about mine. My father overheard him telling someone on the phone it was the worst day of his career. It showed.

Over two hours to be seen for a complete waste of time. Care now has nothing to do with care and it’s definitely not now. Don’t recommend, he recommended I see my doctor in February. This is not the level of care I am used to from St. Luke’s in anyway.

Also FYI no heat in the building only space heaters

I got a concussion at work and went here for an evaluation for my workman’s comp. PA named Nicole was obviously rushing me. Very quick and to the point. I reportee the memory loss, and significant cognitive struggles. The PA basically said ā€œI’m not sure if this is just you from your ADHD or if it’s from your concussion.ā€ I told her this is not my adjd. It seemed as if she saw the meds I’m was on and assumed it was mental rather than a genuine head injury. She was very dismissive and basically ignored all of my concerns. The doctor , came in and said ā€œmaybe it’s from this or the thing we talked about earlier.ā€ I feel like they did not believe me or take my concerns seriously. Receptionist called me on the phone because I forgot to grab my paper. Receptionist rudley asked me if I knew I was supposed to wait for the papers or no. I’ve never felt so dismissed from a doctor before.

I’ve noticed a trend of nurses and doctors easily. believing someone is saying things for attention or just to ā€œmiss workā€. Something needs to be done about this. I’ve had multiple previous concussions in the past including a brain bleed and I took a blow to the head at my job. And this PA who’s known me for 10 minutes had the nerve to bring up my ADHD. I am clearly not alone given these reviews. You can’t say you care about patients feedback then let these doctors dismiss every patient .

If I could give 0 stars I would. I went in for radiating hip and bad knee pain. Yes , I understand my blood pressure was high . Morgan Rapp would not listen to anything I had to say . She kept asking if I fell we’ll didn’t want to listen to me that I have some osteoarthritis. Didn’t x ray my knee just hip . So finally I told her yes I had a minor fall a week ago because I didn’t remember it . However, I think the problem was un related . She just kept telling me I can’t give any drugs . I didnt ask for any . Yes I know she couldn’t because my blood pressure was way higher than normal probably because I was in pain and getting fustrtrsted with her . I told her my knee hurt so bad I can’t bend it she totally ignored that . Continued to tell me she can’t give me anything. I said all want to know is what going on with me . She was ignorant , rude and disrespectful. I found this appalling and highly unacceptable. I felt like she would not listen to she made me feel like all I came in for was for drugs . I don’t like pain meds . I didn’t want them . I walked out . Yelled at her to point of using foul language I won’t lie . because she made angry went to Luke’s ER . They treated me with respect very kind and professional. That was the only bad experience I’ve had with St Luke’s

We want yo thank ST. LUKES finest the receptionist, RN Lisa and Dr. k. Valvano for your prompt and tentative care you gave my mom. He immediately had a solution for the issue. We
were traveling from NJ to NC when the allergic reaction took a turn for the worse. Dr. Valvano was very concern with her vitals being stable before we return to the road.
