They don’t answer the phone when transferred to hall. It’s always being picked up and then hung up. I found bruises on my mother in law several times. But they claim she was doing it to herself. My husband and I are trying hard to remove her from this place. They’ve let her fall more than once.

My mother in law came from the hospital to St Elizabeth’s after a serious fall, she was bed ridden at first but received such well therapy that she’s in a wheelchair but they are working on helping her to walk again. We love St Elizabeth’s, they treat our mom like family and we visit almost daily, they go out of there way to make you feel welcome at all hours of the day. Our mom has daily recreational activities, she has church on Sunday and Wednesday. She likes the food on most days, and receives snacks regularly. At times they may seem a little under staffed but then it picks back up again. When ever we have a concern we talk to the staff and they do their best to help or correct the situation. The nursing and Recreation are top notch. We are very happy to recommend St Elizabeth’s to friends and family.

Very unprofessional! They ignored all the extremely high glucose numbers on her chart from NEA hospital and never checked her sugar numbers for 5 days. When they did bloodwork they found her number was over 700!!!! She ended up in Intensive Care for 3 days. If you care about your loved ones DO NOT use this facility!!!!

Not a good experience at all. They have no side rails, alarms on beds or chairs. I understand some is considered restraints (3 or more side rails) My grandmother went here for therapy, she also has dementia. Her therapy literally lasted 10 mins tops & they wheeled her back in the room. I told atleast 3 different CNA’s, 1 nurse, & the PT guy she is impulsive when it comes to her having to use the bathroom. So don’t leave her unattended in the restroom, her call light was never in reach while I was there, her bandages were never changed even though ordered to change daily. She fell in the bathroom, they got her up, cleaned up and put her in bed. Never took one set of vitals, Her primary knew nothing about it when I called. Investigation is currently in progress. You can tell they are very short staffed. A few nurses & CNA’s were very nice & helpful, & on top of things (thank you to those) but this is one place I highly discourage for any dementia or Alzheimer patients.

I have been in St. Elizabeth’s in Jonesboro, AR for a month of rehabilitation. The OT & PT staff are all amazing people to work with. I have really enjoyed working with them! And, the nurses are all really good at what they do! Very happy with both the therapy & the nurses! 5 ? (for therapy staff & nurses only)
But, they are very short staffed with the CNA’s. And, they don’t seem to work well as a team. From the housekeepers, CNA’s & the kitchen staff they need better training! I have worked in a kitchen myself in a state facility for many years before I became disabled. They could all 3 do a lot better. They aren’t giving the residents the care they deserve. It saddens me to hear the staff talking about other residents & bad mouthing other staff members. Just bc most of the residents are older doesn’t mean they can’t here you talk. And, leaving them sitting in their potty pants for hours without changing them is very disrespectful to these residents. They aren’t babies & they deserve better. I am very disappointed in what I have seen! Thank goodness I am very verbal myself but my roommate isn’t & I have been speaking up for her. She is a very kind person & doesn’t complain as much as she should. I hope by this review maybe they can actually take a look at their lower staff the ones that spend the most time with their residents!
BTW, the food here sucks! Not good at all! Nothing has any flavor. They either over cook or under cook their food. They need a better menu with a wider selection for residents to choose from. And, the staff doesn’t give out the snacks to the residents, either!
If I had to give stars for the CNAs, housekeepers & food staff I would only give them a half a star if even that!!!!
