The therapy staff here is stellar. I arrived at St Edna’s with pain 24/7 hovering around a level of 7/8. Through the efforts of these kind, talented professionals I am now 24/7 at a pain level of 0/1. They made life good again and I am very grateful. If you need PT or OT do not hesitate to give these professionals a chance to help you. From the Supervisor through each staff member you are working with pros who can help you change your life if you let them.

As a patient I found the entire facility awesome. They provide competent., personal care and treat you like family. If they can make you more comfortable they will. The care is timely and compassionate. Both the Business Offic and Social services have been very helpful. The Activities staff does a spectacular ! job of providing a varied schedule to offer some social time and fun! This is an outstanding place and I have been so happyvv b here I call it St. Edna’s Spa😊. If you need care, you want to come here.

St. Edna's is truly exceptional! From the administrators to the nursing staff, physical therapists, and even the people who clean the rooms—everyone is incredibly kind and helpful. My mother spent two weeks at this facility, and the communication was outstanding. Every request, medication, or concern was addressed within 15 minutes, and they consistently called to update me on any changes in her condition.

She arrived needing a walker but left on her own two feet thanks to the amazing rehab team that got her up and walking right away. It's been three weeks since her stay, and she's now happily living on her own, healthy and strong.

I’d like to personally thank a few individuals who made all the difference:
- Robert Aragon, for coordinating the seamless transition from the hospital to their facility;
- Tina and the front office, for thoroughly explaining every document I needed to sign;
- Manijeh Sadr, who guided me through the entire process from start to finish;
- And the incredible nurses, at St. Edna’s, who provided top-notch care.

Thank you, St. Edna’s, for everything you do for our community!

St. Edna’s was a great find. One of the hardest events one has, is moving a loved one into a care facility. St. Edna’s made this transition a comfortable and wise decision. The staff went above and beyond. Not once did my mom or my family feel we made the wrong decision leaving her at St. Edna’s. Better yet, my mom loved the place, and thanked me every visit for finding her such a great and caring spot. The tasty daily meals, the day-to-day care, the cleanliness, and extended warmth to all that enter is hard to beat.
I would say, to anyone reading this and is scared or worried to put your loved one in a care facility, you dont have to be. St. Edna’s helped me every single step of the way. My mom can sometimes be difficult (happens with old age) but the staff was so patient and took the time to make her feel heard and understood. Thank god for places like this. These gems really do exist.
I would like to personally thank, Manijeh Sadr who helped me through the ENTIRE process from start to finish. And I would also like to thank nurse Justin and nurse Karina. The care you guys give is immeasurable.
God bless you all.

This is the most unhelpful facility ever. Please hope your family never ends up in this facility; you will never see them again. They lost my father and can't provide any information.

In 2011 I was 60, and approved by Orange County’s MSI Program for a much-needed hip replacement - it was so arthritic I was becoming nonambulatory. I had no health insurance, and in those Pre-Obamacare years, Medi-Cal would not cover me. I was expecting a garage mechanic operating on my hip, but the hip replacement was done at St. Joseph’s Hospital by arguably the best and most distinguished orthopedic surgeon in Orange County, Dr. Ayaz Biviji. It was a complete success! How did I get so lucky as to go to the best surgeon in the premier hospital?

But his staff recommended my staying in a skilled nursing home for a couple of days, and put me in St. Edna’s - because it was the only thing MSI would pay for.

I have waited 13 years to file a negative review on them, because my surgery was paid through Orange County funds for the indigent, and I thought I had no right to complain! And because I had just come through a big surgery and was healing.

Some of the top health care providers, and in-home health care providers in Orange County, working at main hospitals and facilities, are from the Philippines. But St. Edna’s staff was NOT of this caliber.

I lived in Hong Kong and China for 15 years, before that hip replacement sugery. I am not a racist, nor from a homeless encampment!

We were put in a dirty bed in a big hall of many other patients, crammed in there like sardines. It was hot at night, with no apparent air-conditioning. The staff were all loudly chattering away with each other in Tagalog, like magpies, where we couldn’t sleep.

The final straw came when I tried to take myself to the Men’s bathroom. I couldn’t use it because it had been piled to the brim with wheelchairs! Isn’t that a violation of OSHA regulations?! We had been trained by St. Joseph Hopital how to get ourselves to the toilet on crutches. I had been unable to get anyone’s attention for a urinal or bedpan.

Fuming, I called a friend’s father to pick me up first thing the next morning, and refused to sign St. Edna’s discharge against medical advice papers. I simply walked out!

Again, in 2024 I have been recommended by St. Jude Hospital, after an orthopedic procedure, to go into a Skilled Nursing Home for a few days. I told them my story. They have black-listed St. Edna’s now, because of my story. Now I have full Medicare health coverage, and will no longer need to be sent to such a dump!

St. Jude medical staff urged me to write this negative review, even 13 years late - to save someone else from going through this experience.

I see that St. Edna’s is still there. One staff member at Coventry Court, where I am at, had also worked at St. Edna’s. He was not surprised at what I told him.
