My husband was discharged today from Springhill Senior & Rehab Ctr after having total hip replacement. We were VERY pleased with the care he received while there.

The facility is clean & well maintained. In a time when most facilities are facing employee shortages, if SSR had them, we didn’t notice. The nurses, CNA’s and other staff members are extremely efficient, yet warm & compassionate. The PT staff members are exceptional, and a lot of work went into my husband’s rehabilitation. We were surprised to see that even on weekends (and over a holiday), he still received physical therapy. Their hard work & diligent care has helped my husband regain his strength once again.

Even small things like the meals served exceeded expectations (especially for a picky eater like my husband). His room appeared to have been recently renovated. It was clean, spacious & quite comfortable.

A very special thank you to Helen, Annie and Pat for going above & beyond to make my husband’s experience a safe & pleasurable one. I visited often, but never worried about his care once I left for the day. Any center is only as good as their staff, and this one is top-notch! Being placed in a facility away from your home & family is extremely difficult. The staff at Springhill Senior & Rehab Center fully understood this & made every effort to make my husband’s stay a good one. If we ever need these services again, they will be first on our list!

My mother came here after a 4 day hospital stay. She was in need of physical therapy to strengthen her so she could come home and safely. The staff was wonderful. They came took her to therapy and encouraged her to do her best. They were attentive to her needs and checked on her regularly. The room was a single room a bit small but was big enough for our limited stay. They had a range of activities to participate in, a beauty shop, and a dining area should you not want to eat in your room. When discharge happens the social director sets up aftercare and arranges for anything you may need like medical supplies so your loved one has what she needs to be safe at home. I would recommend this place and if needed would come here again.

My step father was in the facility for rehab and received wonderful care. The CNA's, Nurses, Therapy and Administrative employees were both passionate and caring. The Therapy Dept was firm but patient. They worked hard to get his strength and mobility better in order for him to go home without the worry of a relapse. The meals were delicious. If he ever wanted anything that wasn't on the menu all he had to do was ask and it was provided. The room was nice and clean. I couldn't be more happier with the care he received.

My father in-law did physical therapy at Springhill Rehab & Senior Residence and made great progress. The nurses, CNA's and staff were so attentive to his needs and gave great care. The rooms were clean and had all the creature comforts needed, the meals were awesome and the staff was so friendly and courteous. I knew my father in-law was in great hands. One nurse ("K") was so kind and helpful not only to my father in-law but wonderful in explaining to things to my family. After my father in-law left the facility, nurse "K" checked in to see how he was doing. Talk about five star service from beginning to even after being discharged. I highly recommend to anyone that is in need of therapy where the ENTIRE staff will take care of you and puts your needs as priority one.

Their care is good. But they will call you on a Monday at 445 pm to say covered care stops on Wednesday morning! A promised 3-day notice is only 36 hours to them i guess. You will have a laundry list of items you need to do to get your house ready for your loved ones but only one day to buy and install everything you need. You can appeal I guess, but it’s all done over the phone so their is no paper trail of what they have done. Shameful to them, Medicare, and Kepro. I hope they realize one of their coworkers will do the same thing to their mom someday.

I see several of the more positive reviews are left by staff members at this very facility. I wonder now if all of them are?

I have been a member of the Springhill Senior Residence rehab section for six weeks. During the first 21 days I made progress with with both PT and OT tasks. I am disappointed there was no formal follow-up, but I am understanding of MEDICARE limitations. The did provide, however, written instructions for daily use--I have used these faithfully!

The staff and administration have treated me with respect, helpfulness, and amazing kindness. There a lot of people here, and all are well attuned to this vision. A lot of folks here need service, and the staff has been excellent at solving problems in a reasonable time.

The dietary service have been very good. The meals are different, and attention is paid towards providing a pleasing menu. Coffee service is provided in the lounge (Keogh) on a self service basis.

For my needs there are of inadequate number of electrical outlets. The AC and TV run consistently well. There is one light above the sink that refuses to cooperate. I have needed an oxygen concentration device. The furnished device works well. For travel on and off campus tanks of oxygen have been made available and work well.

My room and the entire facility are very clean. The staff uses reusable floor pads to reduce possibility of disease. Rooms are wiped-down daily. The cleaning staff has been very pleasant and accommodating to schedule changes and visitors.

Case management and financial services have been extremely helpful. Unfortunately I have placed some demand on them..

It has been very convenient for me to have both Cardiology Associates as well as the staff of Springhill hospital available within a hundred yards.

I wanted to share my experience with Springhill. I went unexpectedly to Springhill. I'm new to Mobile, had no idea how to pick a rehab center after surgery. I'm so glad I picked Springhill. It's clean, cnas are very helpful and genuinely offer to help then do help. I was a whiney baby while I was there due to pain but staff were patient, helpful, kind from start to finish. Nursing, unit manager and social work staff were phenomenal. They had one day notice to prep for my discharge. It was a smooth transition. Even when I had to call them at home for something needed, they made sure I had it. They were Johnny on the spot. They made sure my surgical success would carry on at home by making sure I had equipment needed, services needed. I was a nursing home ombudsman years ago and Springhill staff is miles ahead from what I had to deal with years ago. Also having that inside view of nursing homes let's you see things as they are. I'm telling you exactly as it is. I have another surgery planned and Springhill is where I'll go after that surgery too.
