When my mother became ill her care was more then my husband and I could handle by ourselves. We knew we needed help. My mothers condition required constant companionship and her confusion and inability to coupe with everyday life only made her situation harder. A close family member of mine told me about Spring Village at Pocono. After reading the reviews I decided to book a tour.
I was greeted by Courtney who spent a good deal of time listening to my concerns about my mother. I was impressed with how the facility covered all the needs of their residence.
Upon placing my mother in Spring Village my husband and I saw an improvement in the daily struggle that she was experiencing before she arrived. My mother looked forward to the daily activities offered and made a few new friends. The staff was friendly, caring, and compassionate. The nursing department kept me well informed.
I am grateful that I placed my mother in the care of such a professional and well established care home. I highly recommend Spring Village because to my mother it became her home...away from home.

Our father was lovingly and professionally cared for at Spring Village for almost five years. We are so very grateful to the entire staff for not only providing expert care but love. He was extremely happy there and enjoyed every single staff member. Our family never once had a complaint or negative observation. We praise every member of the staff for their incredible dedication, always going the extra mile for our dad. We are thankful that our wonderful father got the care he deserved.

Walking into Spring Village I felt at ease with leaving my loved one in their facility. It was clean, well maintained and all the staff were highly professional. The residents seemed happy and content. They allow personal items to allow the residents to feel at home. Glad to find this facility and highly recommend.

Unfortunately it wasn't a good experience. I needed to place my mother for ten days. I paid for the full month of $6400 dollars. I have observed many wrong things but the last one when I went to see my mom at 9:15 in the morning and she was locked in her room. It took couple of minutes to find the right key to open the door. She was sitting with her nightgown waiting for somebody to open the door . Her care taker that day said. I haven't gotten the chance to take care of her yet. My mom is independent and she took care of her needs. She didn't need any special care . Everybody else had their breakfast already. having the door locked for vulnerable people is outrageous and wrong. Anything could have happened and nobody would have known about it in time. I signed my mom out that morning and left the rest of the payment for the month. On the top of what happened. I expected somebody to call, investigate and at least apologize for the lack of care. Instead they defended that worker and blamed me for signing my mom out. The door was locked a couple of times and wasn't the first time. We had a phone in her room with the handset missing for days. Other observations but wouldn't be worth to report. I absolutely wouldn't recommend it to my loved one.

Most of the time short staffed! very disappointed in the place. Payed a lot of money and they are just like every one else. Expected more from a private nursing home. Mom was neglected etc... won't even go to all the details. Alway check on your love once's when you put them in a nursing home. No matter how overly nice they seem. Some of these workers need training with memory care in the three floor! 🙁

My parents were both residents at Spring Village. I can not say enough about the staff there. They are friendly,kind, compassionate and respectful. They are very attentive to the needs of the residents. The facility is clean, food is tasty (per my parents). My Dad has been on the Memory Care Unity for the past 8 months, and the staff there were the best.
