My 80+ year-old Dad's life has been changed by Dr. Chris' regime of physical therapy and home exercises.

Over the past fifty years, Dad has had other Physical Therapists but none that resulted in him following through with the home exercises.

Discussing this as a family, we think it is partly because Dr Chris sent him home with adult-type exercises involving apparatuses used for resistance and body weight exercises at his office sessions. The other piece is that he greatly enjoys how Dr. Chris works out with him.

Dr. Chris gave him a pulley system that hooked to a closed door and two types of bands. These are Dad's to keep.

Also included is a website login that Dad uses to log his reps. The site shows videos of all the exercises he has been assigned to do that week.

Everyone at the office has been warm, kind, and upbeat. My parents love the vibe.

Their light therapy treatment _saved_ my last ski holiday! I had cracked ribs that were healing slowly, and a ski holiday fast approaching. I am a scientist, researched light therapy for healing broken bones, and learned that there's lots of evidence of its effectiveness. I had one week to get treated. We stacked up several treatments in that week, and I felt improvement daily!

I was the victim of a faulty shoulder with frequent dislocations. I knew of an excellent surgeon in Sacramento where I had my procedure preformed. My surgeon was quite the stickler of where I received my P.T. saying things like, "If they do this to you, say Doc. X says you're an idiot; and leave!" My check-ups were all great and the surgeon was happy and surprised with my quick progress.
I have had P.T. for my shoulder before in other counties. My prior experience was awkward at best. Some old man in a lab coat who would not talk to me and just start doing things. They would tell me, "pull on this tube for 20 min and I will be back." My experience at SOL was so profoundly different. They really have that personal touch. The receptionist knew my name, you have a private room to have one-on-one therapy where Dr. Taquino has the gift of gab: talking about your day or explaining in detail the physiology of your injury (in ways I could understand). When you perform your exercises you have someone watching you at all times making sure you are on track and in proper form. The only time they leave you alone is at the end of your appointment where you get your stem and ice/heat treatment (if recommended, it was in my case). You, typically, get your own room with the door shut. I enjoy a good nap or a read for 20 min.
In conclusion: I would highly recommend this place if you don't like that sterile hospital feeling, or feeling like you are just some number they will call. My recovery is a testament to their abilities. No complaints here.

Better than best. Dr. Taquino and Josh know what they are doing and have helped me with a sport related injury. Their knowledge of the body is great. It has been a very good experience having them partner up on me to bring me back to health.

SOL is amazing! My back was very stiff and after the first visit I was able to touch my toes again! They also directed me to helpful recourses to help my back recover and use regularly to help me prevent injury again. I highly recomend them!

She knows it's more than just fixing it in the moment, making it better, and then sending you on your way.
