The staff at this pharmacy give consistently excellent service!! It’s fast, friendly, they truly care, go the extra mile. The drive thru window seals the deal. I have only ever encountered one other car ahead of me in the drive thru line and they pulled out 1 minute later. When I think of all the hours I’ve spent in line at Walmart or Walgreens … cringe!

I’ve only used sixth avenue pharmacy for veterinary medications for my pets. They have always been responsive and quick! My kitty got compounded medication from them and it was always ready to be picked up before the estimated 3-4 business days. Their prices seem fair, as well. The only downside is that they are closed on Sundays and close early on Saturdays, so if you have any medication questions for the pharmacist, it can be hard to reach them on the weekends.

I am so grateful for the staff at 6th Avenue Pharmacy. My loved one is now residing in her third a local long-term care (LTC) facility due to changing care needs. The LTC facilities require medications to be packaged into bubble-packs for safety and 6th Ave provides this service for free. 6th Ave also delivers meds to many local facilities.

In the past, I have taken issue with long-term care staff requesting prescriptions from her primary care physician without first speaking with me. (Trust me, this happens more than you might imagine, as they feel inappropriately "entitled" to do so.) I tightly monitor her care to minimize errors and am poorly tolerant of being 'bypassed'. My work around was to ask 6th Ave not to fill any scripts without first seeking my permission and they have done so without fail.

Pharmacies are not notified when prescriptions are discontinued, so I always call and let them know.

Erik Nelson, the owner, and his staff (special kudos to Ann) have always been accessible and great communicators. Our relationship is a PARTNERSHIP. And, they have been WONDERFUL to us!

Best pharmacy in town! I have always had great service. Eric talked to one of my doctors to get me switched to a much cheaper equivalent drug to what I was taking. I never would have known to do that on my own, so that right there saved me $30 a month. They also remember their customers and go out of their way to help you make sure everything is correct and clairify with the Doctor if necessary. I was getting my prescriptions at Walgreens before and they were good too, but Sixth Ave seems to have better prices and service overall.

Absolutely a great pharmacy! They genuinely care and provide a very friendly environment. We have never had a problem they couldn't help us resolve. We've been there for years and look forward to many more!

I do not recommend. My doctor sent a script here and wanted me to start it asap. Hence why he called it in during his vacation. I waited a day before checking to see if it was ready since I knew it would take a little extra time to prepare a compounded. I was told they had just recieved my script (which was a lie since my dr called me after he sent it, and I could see when it was sent on mychart.) When I explained he called it in the day before they corrected themselves, but said it was called in "late" the day before... 3pm. I was told I had to wait FIVE BUSINESS DAYS before I could pick it up per their compound policy. Which has never been a policy I've heard of at any other pharmacy on any NEW compound script before. Considering I've worked in compounding pharmacies, most don't expect new patients to wait 5days on a new compound. Most have you call your compounded REFILLS in 5days early, so they have time to get them all done, but not on brand new scripts for brand new patients.
When I asked if there was anyway to get it sooner, as I didn't ask for it to be sent to them or had known about their strict protocol, I was told no. That Monday would be the soonest (5days away) so I said ok, as I had no other choice. They called back 5mins later in a condescending tone to check that I would actually pick it up Mon? I said yes again.... As I clearly had no choice.
When my husband went to pick it up Mon after work they told him it wasn't ready and he had to wait 30mins!
Seemed I got unlucky with a very entitled pharmacist who decided to play games with my health. Which is unfortunate.
Most compounding pharmacies might have you wait a day or 2 on a new script as they get those done before refills. Apparently 5 BUSINESS days on new script is acceptable here. I immediately transferred to a different pharmacy as soon as I could and one that understood these basic principles.
I'm usually the first to give pharmacies a break and diligent about giving them extra time, as I know how it goes working in pharmacy after 10yrs. But this place was really disappointing, especially given all their questionable positive reviews.
Hope they fix there policy so that the 5business day wait is on REFILLS, and not on new compound scripts for new patients.
