I first started with Dr Davis before he transferred the practice to Dr. Shakya. Trust me, I was not thrilled simply because I have a low tolerance for pain and hate going to the dentist. Now a year plus later, I adore Dr. Shakya because she truly cares about her patients. I can be a major pain in the rear, but Dr. Shakya is not judgmental (at least not in front of me). I needed a few fillings and crowns, and the doctor works with her patients to ensure their comfort.

Dr. Shakya’s entire staff are such a pleasure to work with, which actually makes it enjoyable to go to the dentist, which is not something I ever thought I would say!

Dr. Shakya has a very warm chair-side manner, and helps calm my over-active nervous system. However, the helpers, that are often new, don't always see in my chart that I may have some anxiety. I would appreciate more training on looking for notes like this and on how to handle patients with sensitivities. I will also try to remember to ask at the start if they know. I was happy this last visit that Dr. Shakya dismissed the assistant at the start, and went above and beyond to offer relaxing music during my visit. It helped a lot, as did her calming presence. I was impressed and so grateful.

Cracked my tooth in mid-late afternoon. Needed to be seen urgently. My dentist wasn’t available. Dr Shakya took me ASAP, took x-ray and told me what to do until tooth i could see my own dentits or an oral surgeon. Very compassionate!

I had an unfortunate experience where I was overcharged for a single tooth X-ray because I didn’t have insurance. The dentist recommended an unnecessary root canal, which was confirmed as unnecessary by two other dentists once I had insurance. While the staff seemed friendly and welcoming, I’d advise being cautious.

Dr. Shakya is amazing! The office is so clean and organized. I've been going to Dr. Davis for 30 years and this transition was smooth. And the friendless of the office is the best. Mari is awesome and so knowledgeable about dental insurance. They are always willing to help. Make this your dentist office!
