This is where my brother now resides. I’m so grateful that the staff treat him like family and somebody that they’ve known for a long time. I appreciate the fact that the staff are very personable with my brother and with the family. The facility is always clean and always smells good, that is wonderful when it comes to dealing with a nursing home, the staff are very courteous and always eager to help. Thank you so much for Making my brother‘s new Residing place a home.

My mom is here and has been for several months. She arrived there with multiple medical concerns. The staff has been kind and caring to her. She was gone for several days for a much needed surgery. When she returned they told her how much they missed her, glad she was home and treated her like family. I will say every staff member from the front door (director, finance, nursing and all the way to her cna, and roommate) made her feel welcomed back. Thank you for caring for her above what she would receive elsewhere.

If I could give this place a 0, I would. Very disappointed. I was referred to this facility for rehab for legs. I was supposed to spend much time walking with supervision. The only walking I had was in physical therapy class which was only an hour 4 times a week. In other facilities, aides would walk with a patient if they had free time. Here the aides would spend their free time on their cell phones. They did not have a caring attitude.

Mom has had amazing care here. Thankful! She enjoys the salon and the food too. The activities keep her busy and fill her day. The facility is always fresh and clean smelling.

If you care anything about your family member DO NOT PLACE THEM IN THIS FACILITY! It is NOT WHAT THEY PRETEND TO BE. In response to another persons review that stated the bad reviews must be from people not use to nursing homes: I ran a volunteer program for years that visited about 20 nursing homes per week. I intimately know what other nursing homes are like- and Sherwood Nursing & rehab is NOT. A good one. It initially seemed great but after the first week that changed. The aids were great but the administration @ nurses were incredibly rude and insensitive. They called me repeatedly DURING my Dad’s funeral, who was a patient there, about when I was going to clear out his room & was my Mom staying or leaving- DURING HIS FUNERAL! I told the on the phone we were at his funeral and they flat out did not care. Incredibly unprofessional, uncaring, and rude.

I would give this place a zero it it were possible. The sales person, Beth was incredibly rude prior to our moving our parents to this facility. She stated she did not want the vaccine nor to wear a mask and basically really didn’t care if the elderly residence got infected. Dad password away and she continually called (3times) DURING HIS FUNERAL asking what we plan to do about the room for Mom. She, again, was incredibly rude. My mother in law was also a patient there and they threw her around like she was a rag doll
And the family is seeking legal help! If you love your family member DO NOT LEAVE THEM AT THIS HORRIBLE PLACE!

If I could give this place a ZERO i would. My uncle was in this facility and is a fall risk. They wouldn’t allow a fall pad, bed alarm or anything to help him from falling. Well guess what he fell twice! The 2nd time he fell they lied and said he was up walking around and fell. He can’t even sit up by himself much less walk. When I came to visit him he was in a wheelchair smelling of urine and a blood stained gown. I asked to have him cleaned up and a new gown put on and the social worker Katie accused me of being rude and lied on me all because I wanted my loved one cleaned up and asked questions about his safety from falling. He is not independent so there should have been different precautions taken. If Katie was an adult and had a problem with something I said, we could have discussed it like adults, but the director called his wife and upset her. She was lied to twice by the staff and this is a time when she doesn’t need the additional stress. Shame on you Sherwood Nursing Home and Rehab! Please if you have a family member that is not independent DO NOT TAKE THEM THERE!!! I’m not sure I would take something who could do basic living skills there.

My Grandmother was at Sherwood Nursing & Rehab for the last 2 years of her life. I have never seen a nursing home that displays more love and compassion for their residents. They made my family feel like part of their family and treated granny like a queen. This place is a gem and we are lucky to have it so close to home.
