Best ER I have been to. However,
If I had a life threatening injury I would be very concerned to be in their care.
I would love to see a stricter standard for professionalism and attentiveness. I am very unimpressed with the "care" i received. Like every ER i have been to, say a prayer and hope it all ends well. Because the complete lack of attentiveness is stress inducing. I wasnt asked at any time if I needed anything. They dumped me in a room, connected stuff and then just left me by myself. I realize my condition was stable but the complete lack of interest in my welfare disappoints me. Like all medical staff I have been around "you die, you die". Cant anyone take their duties seriously? Where is the good work ethic?

Hello, I spent a couple of days at Sharp and I've gotta say every single staff member I came in contact with was polite professional, yet personable and knew what they were doing. Even though my circumstances are a bit strained they didn't make me feel less than made me feel important, and they treated me with respect and dignity. The doctors knew what they were talking about, and very confident. The procedures they did were problem-free and well executed smoothly. and did everything. If I were to complain about anything, it would be that I actually missed a couple of meals, but not like I'm going to starve to death anytime soon LOL The staff that took care of me in room 416 should be recognized for going Out of their way to make me feel special. I am so grateful and blessed that I went to Sharp Coronado I would recommend that hospital staff to anyone, and everyone I know. Thanks again for everything you've done for me. You people are outstanding, forever grateful John

Never did I think I would be giving an emergency room 5 stars, but they earned it! I saw a doctor within 10 minutes of arrival, and completed a number of tests very quickly. The staff were friendly, professional and efficient. I’ve never had a better experience at a hospital in my life.

Everyone from the guard to the nurses and doctor were very attentive and courteous. Have taken mom to emergency twice and will always come back to Sharp Coronado. The time is also about half of another hospital that I used to take her.

Never fun to fall sick on a trip. Was worried about long wait times and billing.

The patient care at sharp ER was excellent. The team was very responsive and fast. Although there was construction on going, they had a good control of all processes from check in to out.

I was in San Diego on a work trip and became ill. I was really nervous about being out of State and getting hospital care, but the team was fantastic and really attentive to my pain. Dr G Apel was brilliant, thorough and assuring. The makeshift space is crazy due to construction but that did not hamper the service and staff. Thanks for the fix, with an early morning flight out planned.

I came to the Coronado ER for severe back pain. I felt like I was surrounded by Jr High children. The place was practically empty. The sound was like a 7th grad class room. Nurses hysterically laughing/screaming. It was shocking and painful to endure. The environment was so far from professional. I could not believe I was in a hospital. Then the Dr tried to give me a medication that dangerously conflicts with other meds I explained to the staff I wad already taking. The Dr was very immature and gave me as little of his time as possible. He thought 35 second informal visit with me (in an empty er) was plenty of time for a diagnosis. This is a complete circus. Top to bottom. Our medical system gets worse and worse. This used to be a decent er. You can't even get decent service when it's empty at 6am. Literally looked like a 30-1 staff to patient ratio. I was in and out but they did not even attempt to do anything to actually help me. They just did some scans and max billed my insurance. I get 30 sec with the Dr.
Joke. How much did he get paid for that 30 seconds? Then they told me I had broken ribs. Dr. Said nothing. Left with no help

The nurses are very attentive and very sweet the person from the stress test was even more attentive and at point I love the way she was right on point with everything and knew what to do and what not I loved that the doctor too was very caring and concerned and and attentive all were just great people and very good on everything they had to do and sweet I really love the staff there that's why when I have an emergency that's the place to go to.
