My husband recently spent >3 weeks at San Juan Hills Healthcare after an injury. They gave him therapy more than once/day 5 days a week, on weekends once/day. Most caregivers are amazing, very caring and compassionate. Only negative is food. But it's Rehab, not a resort! They got him strong again so he is home now. 👍 I recommend this Skilled Nursing Facility.

Mission Capistrano Healthcare Center was recommended to us and it was the best decision we made! They make you feel welcome and valued. No surprises! The facility staff from administration to medical and support personnel at all levels are there for you and your loved one. This is truly a team of professionals at all levels striving together to make your experience exceed your expectations and they do. They care and it shows! team is family and when you become a resident you become a part of that family. We feel fortunate to have become a part of that family during this past month.

My aunt was at this facility for about 3 weeks undergoing rehab for a fall she had. It's a nice facility compared to others we visited. We did our research, we are glad we did. The facility is really nice, the food was good according to my aunt. I would definitely recommend this facility for anyone looking for good rehab with good food.

The therapy was excellent, my aunt came home happy and doing better then ever. She loved it so much that she is now interested in their assisted living services. The nursing staff were excellent, they seemed very busy which is a good thing, they were working hard.

Our family was really pleased with everything and the outcome. We were skeptical at first of what it would be like since his is all new to us. My aunt would go back, which says a lot

Medina is one of the best employee's at this facility. She is so understanding and so very helpful! She is a hard working employee and really cares for her patients and her team. She explained a lot to me about the process of administration and answered any questions I had due to my father being a resident here. Her team is fantastic and was very helpful with the exercises to do with my father. The facility genuinely seemed to care about the health of my father and worked very hard to make sure that my family felt comfortable enough to take my father home after rehabilitation.I highly recommend this facility to anyone who needs strengthened rehab in this area, this facility is awesome!

My mother was transferred from mission hospital to San Juan Hill Healthcare Center. The staff was exceptional and went above and beyond to make my mothers experience comforting. The therapy team truly worked on to help my mom regain her ability to walk and helped rebuild her strength after her hip replacement surgery. The facility had a very homey feel with a nice ambience. Very clean Highly recommend.

My father was transferred to your facility from mission hospital. There were multiple facilities in the area that we toured, but didn’t feel comfortable with any of them until we found yours. It’s clean, renovated, has beautiful gardens, spacious rooms, and the food is actually good! Thank you for helping my father get stronger and return home safely. We appreciate everyone’s care.

My father had a stay here after a hospitalization. I looked at 6 places and San Juan Hills was the only option that wouldn’t keep me up at night. It is smaller than many other places and while it might be a bit out of date interior-decorating wise, it has a very quiet chill vibe compared to the rest of the places I looked at.

Like you could actually rest here, whereas the other places looked busy and just didn’t look comfortable or clean. Its hard to put your finger on it exactly.

The staff was great. When we visited, sometimes the nurses would proactively tell me something new – like that the Dr visited and adjusted the medication or something we should be aware of. I didn’t always have to pull information or request things – they were on what needed to be done.

One thing we did find was a relatively long response time to pressing the help button. I am quite sure this is an industry wide problem. The staff to patient ratio seemed higher at SJ Hills. If you have a family member with get-up-itis (getting up when they shouldn’t) I recommend Brightstar for supplemental sitters at least for a few days while the patient orients.

All in all, there is no other skilled nursing facility in the area that I would recommend more. In particular Brianna that helped us onboard was super helpful – onboarding from the hospital is not as easy as you would think and having someone super competent on the skilled nursing side is very important.
