They make you wait soo long. I had an appointment at 12, got there at 11:30 to fill out paperwork. They took me back at 12:05 to get a few quick X-rays. Then I proceeded to sit in the chair for 40 mins waiting.

Finally the doctor came but at that point my parking meter had run out so I asked if I could go give it more money and she told me they have a parking lot around the corner, so I went to move my car real quick and came right back to the chair. Waited again another 10 mins. At one point I went back to use the restroom and I saw the doctor doing a root canal on someone in another room. And looking at another reviewer that said they had the same thing happen to them, so it seems this is the way they operate here. They double book consults and root canals so the doctor is stretched way too thin.

Finally the doctor came back and said it looks fine but just to be sure I needed to do a $300 scan that my insurance probably wouldn’t cover, and without letting me think about whether I wanted to do it she left and someone came to take me to get scanned. Then I came back to my chair and waited another 25 mins (I have timestamps from texts on my phone) before the doctor came back to tell me it looks fine, there’s nothing wrong, I just have to deal with the heat sensitivity pain I’ve been having for over 6 months.

So I wasted 2 hours waiting and $388 to be told “there’s nothing wrong.” The appointment could’ve been a quick 20 mins max and instead it took 2 hours.

I don’t know. I’m putting two stars here as I’m sitting in the waiting room ready to leave.

Something I appreciate is that even though I didn’t have an appointment they made space for me as I had a severely infected tooth.

Dr Nugent was the attending doctor. He was the only doctor working today. He is nice, I suppose, but in the most perfunctory way. I could tell that he was rushing, which I dislike. It doesn’t put you at ease to know your doctor is trying to explain what’s happening as quickly as possible.

My insurance covered most of the root canal and diagnostics, thank fully. They fit me in for the an hour later.

This is when things got weird. The doctor began and after less than 10 minutes he got up. He said they were almost done. He went to the next “room” over - just a few feet away and began another consult. I was pretty appalled.

After several minutes I asked where he was - I was very anxious during the procedure. I’ve had root canals and never had a doctor leave to work with a different patient. It felt very off.

Monica said he was giving medication time in my tooth. But I doubt that’s why he left. Eventually he returned, spent maybe two more minutes in my tooth and then the assistant “completed the filling”. It all felt super rushed.

She was reaching over my head from above, which was very strange. She didn’t check my bite until I asked her to do so. He came back, showed the next x Ray and said it was all done.

My mouth still hurts. I’ll need to get a crown placed quickly. Hopefully the re-root canal heals well.

I am grateful, but the assembly line nature of the service was deeply unsettling. I was just another body to him, not a real person.

If all is well, I’ll modify the review.

My tooth needed a root canal retreatment due to my previous doctor who didn't do a good job with the root canal. My tooth got infected, and a piece of the tool broke off inside it which lead to that infection without my knowledge. An abscess formed and remained there for years. On my first visit to Root Vision, they showed me the damage that was done to my tooth and offered me two options; attempt at a retreatment of the tooth which had 50% - 60% of chance to be successful ( kinda hopeless due the challenge of working around the stuck tool), or extract the tooth. I put my faith in them and went with the first option.

Dr. Lo-Shen Chen performed a miracle that day! Not only was he able to thoroughly clean and disinfect my tooth, but was also able to remove that broken tool! In addition, he was super friendly and walked me through the process clearly.

It's true that the service is a bit expensive, but it's absolutely worth it! At least you'll walk out knowing that they've performed on you the best treatment that can be done. I Highly recommend!

If I could give a zero I would do .. unfulfilled service, high charges for no real service. My experience with this center is the worst by far. No respect for the patient plus overpricing. When I refused the proposed treatment by the doctor that he charged me $150 for just consultation without even checking my teeth he became someone else and his attitude completely shifted and even refused to give me pain medication although I was in severe pain. I left completely unsatisfied. I dispute the charges and they called me to offer to come again and they will help this time but I refused and I am seeing another doctor. I will continue to dispute the charges for the service that I did not get. This my honest experience.
Update: this is still the worst dentist office I have visited in since I moved to California.

Kudos to the doctors and the back office team. The procedure was virtually painless and they did a great job making me feel comfortable. (5 stars)

The front office team on the other hand leaves a lot to be desired. It’s almost as if they’ve never heard of insurance before. It took multiple phone calls to make sure it was submitted to my insurance, they did not take action or call me back when they said they would. Their failure to process my insurance for almost 4 weeks also caused me to pay more out of pocket, and unfortunately it sounds to be legal if not unethical. Pay VERY close attention to your billing with this place. (1 star)

I waited a long time to repair my resorbed incisor and my endodontist wanted to pull it. My oral surgeon wanted to put cadaver bone in after pulling it to get ready for an implant. I got a second opinion with Dr.Nugent at RootVision Endo and with the 3D imaging camera said it could be saved with a root canal followed by putting permanent cement into the sizable hole in the root. So far, so good. I like the state of the art facility and Dr. Nugent's knowledge, professionalism and confidence. I hope it lasts a long time, but also understand that it might resorb again at some point.

Absolutely great experience! Staff is very friendly and welcoming. The dentist explained everything in detail and made me feel calm. I was in pain and they scheduled me right away. I was there because he had to redo a root canal that another dentist did not do correctly, I wish I would have come here from the beginning. I recommend 100%!
