The management is ignorant at best. If your their pet and do as they say you keep your job, otherwise your in line to be terminated. Most of the staff give excellent care though. And NO I'm not giving a bad review because I'm no longer there. I'm speaking the HONEST truth when I tell you the management in that building doesn't have the residents or staffs best interests in mind. They care about the bottom dollar and looking pretty.

My dad was here for rehab after a knee replacement. He believes he rehabbed much faster than if he had gone directly home and done outpatient rehab. He felt the staff respected and cared for him, and the food was excellent.

We have lived here 7 years and we are more than pleased with the management, the healthcare system, the wide range events, and activities, the
exercise classes, swimming, and the variety of dining options.

More than anything we are pleased with the many new friends that we’ve made. Lots of little things make it special living at Providence Point… like
having a garage, transportation and a safe environment. We enjoy taking classes and learning from lectures.

My parents have really enjoyed their time at Providence Point. They are extremely active in the community there and participate in a lot of the activities that are arranged by the staff. They've had a much more active social life since they moved to Providence Point. And I love knowing that they'll be taken care of as the get older.

I have resided at Providence Point since February of 2019 — this after having spent considerable time researching & formally visiting 3 other Greater Pittsburgh Area continuing care retirement communities. I couldn’t be happier with the decision I and my wife made. Providence Point is ideally located and its quality accommodations and lifestyle opportunities are invaluable to later years quality-of-life. The secret is to get here early to fully leverage a top notch independent living experience. Don’t hesitate!

The language of "Age-in-Place" has been removed from Providence Point's agreements.

We were very concerned that my disabled relative, who was not permitted to attend activities with a personal care aid, would be forced into their nursing home, so we moved her to a disabled-, aid-, & wheelchair -friendly senior living community a few miles away.

We also learned that Providence Point Nursing Home ("Health Care" is their euphemism) only gives prescribed medications 3x /day ( at meals) instead of as prescribed by a doctor. This would be unsatisfactory for someone like our relative who takes Rx meds 5X / day as prescribed and given by the aid.

We became very dissatisfied with Providence Point once these changes occurred in 2024. The original agreement with Age in Place was removed, and restrictions were created which prevented our disabled relative + the aid from attending activities, and the numerous activities were the reason Providence Point was selected in the first place. All of that opportunity disappeared in April 2024 & the threat of being moved involuntarily to "health care" appeared.

Cannot recommend them, even though our relative moved there in 2017.

Absolutely terrible. Does not provide adequate service. Healthcare is unacceptable. Very expensive to not receive care and they do not allow us to hire outside caretakers. So many hoops to jump through- makes it impossible to try to help my grandfather. They are cutting back on services for residents, but continue to increase the price. Their lack of care is abuse.

I have a friend rehabbing in the healthcare area. She said the food is terrible and almost every meal is not what she ordered. The nurses took over 1/2 hour to bring her medications that were on a timed schedule. It is a beautiful, fancy building, and the employees are nice, especially the housekeeping staff, but over all leaves a lot to be desired.
