Please do not put your loved one here. Higher ups are never here. You reach out to corporate in Dillsburg nothing happens. Problems are brought to the Administrators in personal care and nothing is done about it. The nurses and aids are wonderful. They are overworked and underpaid. Always short on help. Your loved one cant be taken care of properly. Gave my uncle expired medications. There is one nurse here who sits medications in front of residents and never sees that they take them. Higher ups are aware... They do nothing. They dont want bothered. Put your loved one somewhere else. I am calling the state and county. This place is awful. They just want your money. They are overcharged for everything. This is in response to the
answer below.. Why would I call corporate when you don't return phone calls? The Administrators is never here to go to! Your administrator of personal care walked out. Employees have no one to go to. Disgraceful. I don't see anyone from corporate here!. Again you have been reported.

The elderly get so overcharged. Cancelling their activities almost daily. These folks pay a lot, and I do mean a LOT to live there. Why not supply them with the daily activities that are printed out for each day of the month? All you do is set these folks up to looking forward to the listed daily activities only to be let down because, THEY'RE CANCELLED!!

Also, their hot foods are rarely warm. Vegetables are mostly undercooked.
Seriously, who is in charge of all of this
No employee stays long but one or two. The rest go as fast as they came. Figure it out and fix it so these dear seniors of ours actually get to enjoy their daily activities and have better meals and do something to help keep good help!!!

All I see is take take take from the residents there but in return they get nothing good but a roof over their heads!

The staff up on the 2nd floor in the nursing home section are like zombies. They are expressionless and not friendly at all. They give me and my family the creeps.

I do not nor will I ever recommend this place to or for anyone unless you do a LOT of changes for the better for our elderly folks.
They deserve far better.

Get it together please.

I love the Personal Care Unit of this facility. Its an extremely helpful option when a loved one can no longer take care of themselves to cook and clean but it gives them a private space to call their own but interact with others on their comfort level. The staff has always followed up on my concerns and requests, promptly. I appreciate all that they do as I no longer live in the area.

The staff and nurses are phenomenal. However, the social worker Jamie is an absolute disaster. My mother in law was fighting to keep my father in law there. Whenever we lost the appeal to the insurance company, Jamie had called my mother in law and LAUGHED about the fact that they are, and I quote, “kicking him out in 3 days”. What type of social worker is like that? Honestly, I feel bad for those that have to be in contact with her. What type of facility allows a social worker to conduct herself like that? There is no need to be smug and ignorant with the family about the fact that their loved one is not able to stay there any further. It’s just sad that one person can ruin your integrity.
If I could give 0 stars I would, but I also feel that the wonderful nursing staff deserves 10/5 stars.
It happened to us, please prevent it from happening to other families.
Would you allow someone to speak to your loved ones like that?

My grandparents were"relocated" here about 4 years ago., but my grandfather passed almost 2 years now. She loves that she doesn't have to do her laundry, cook, clean, etc. She goes to exercise class, they check on her if she's running late for meals. My grandfather was very active in participating in group events, but he was very gregarious, and made many friends. The staff is wonderful. I don't visit as often as I'd like, but they recognize me and always want to tell me how she's doing etc. I don't know the real cost of her living in her little apartment, but i can't imagine it's cheap. Always clean, staff is friendly. I've eaten in the dining room several times - nothing fancy but the seniors seem to love the fact that they are given a menu with many options for each meal.
