Angel Batt kindly welcomed us to join in on her "Horses and Beyond" program at her beautiful home and "Beyond Liberty" horse rescue. We started with a calming and relaxing meditation, to help ground us and match our energy with the horses, and to bring us to the present moment. She shared some stories with us and provided plenty of horse knowledge. I learned a lot about the intuitive and sensitive nature of horses. It was wonderful to hear the story of how she rescued Melody while she was pregnant with Ruby. We were able to feed apple treats to the horses, prepare and serve their meals, and pet Ruby (the more social horse). The program was free of cost, which is so kind. They make a real effort to allow experiences like this available to everyone, but I still made sure to give a small donation. I definitely would like to return for their journaling with horses program and other programs. A day like this in the sunshine with kind people and the peaceful presence of horses is so healing and beats staying at home on the weekend. Also, she has a cat named Happy who is the sweetest fluffy orange cat ever. And her dog Leo needs a little warming up to new people, but is also a sweetheart. Thank you Angel for all that you do!

I absolutely love being at Pregnant Mare Rescue. Peaceful, loving & kind. That's the energy, available to all that come meet the Mares & their babies. Along with the Sanctuary horses at pasture on Calabasas. 🤗💕

Such a wonderful program. As a past volunteer I have loved working here. Yes the work may be hard physically but the mental clarity you get from the horses is very relaxing. I would come out and spend time with the horses even on my scheduled days off.
Lynn is an amazing woman and PMR needs as much assistance as it can get whether it is time volunteering, or any kind of donations.

I wish I still lived in the area. I really miss my time there.

This place is so amazing. As a volunteer here it's so great to interact with the horses. Everyone is so nice here as well. All of the horses have been abused and we have taken them in. Not only do volunteers muck stalls we also walk and groom and feed then depending on what time you Volunteer. Most of them are in training to be the perfect horse and all are up adoption. Please take a chance to volunteer here or even adopt! 🙂

Loved viditing Pregnant Mare Rescue today.Both my 18 yr old grandgirls, my 5 yr old grandson snd my daughter were very impressed by how well loved thw horses are. Lynn has so much passion for horses, their humane treatment and knowledge of the unique sensitivities that horses bring to relationship with humans. She is doing a wonderful work. i was especially struck by how well cared for each animal looked and behaved.

These people have no idea what they are doing. They need to contact a veterinarian, they are feeding alfalfa to young horses, allowing them to nurse off their mothers way too long and taking the babies from good homes because the mares are returned to them
