My grandson came home acting worse than he was. He's now cussing and told me that there is lots of fighting going on. But the nurses always answered my questions when I called. One of the nurses called me in told me he was jumping and got hurt. So they had to take him to the children's hospital to get stitches. But he told me that someone hit him and shoved him into a nightstand and that's how it happened. But the staff was always polite and seemed to care. The only thing I didn't like was calling on the weekends because they don't know how to answer the phone ?

Staff were very informative regarding her mental and physical health. My granddaughter has Type 1 Diabetes. The staff gave her top notch care. She’s visited two other pediatric inpatient psych facilities. Neither facility followed her diabetes treatment plan that ACH manages. The staff at Pinacle followed her treatment plan to the letter. We had a very positive experience. Staff treated my granddaughter and her grandfather and I with kindness and respect. Highly recommend Pinacle to all families in need of mental health treatment for their children.

i went here when i was 13, and it was traumatizing. came for suicidal ideation, when i got there i felt so embarrassed because i had to show my cuts and scars infront of multiple other kids during the time of being placed. when i finally was put on 4 south wing they made me wait in a chair in the FREEZING COLD hallways for about an hour in paper thin scrubs while my clothes were sitting right infront of the nurse but she was too lazy to get up and give them to me because she had "been on her feet all morning". it got to the point where i began to cry because of how cold it was, mind you it was winter during my stay and there was no heat. my first night i started crying so bad that my roommate walked me to the front desk and a male staff began to talk to me during that talk he asked me what i was here for and i showed him my cuts, then he told me that no one will ever love me with all my scars and that they will make me ugly. this ofc made me leave the desk because of how disrespected i felt. there was lots of fighting and arguing EVERYDAY. i got moved to a different room 4 times within my 5 day stay. i was put on meds that my mom didnt even know about which made me feel like a complete zombie, so much so that i had to remind my self to keep walking and to stay awake. this medicine also made me throw up constantly and the staff did nothing but tell me to make sure it goes in the toilet. one day a staff yanked up and threw a little boy out of a chair because he kicked him. on my 4th day i got moved to 3rd floor and was never given dinner, mind you the therapist that i seen only once had taken me during breakfast so i didnt eat that day at all. on my 5th day i moved halls twice within a 4hr period and then was removed from the facility because of how badly i was treated and how unsafe the environment is. this place is horrible. you put 15 kids on the same hall with the same sort of problems what type of peace do you think youre going to get you put little children on the same halls as 15-17 year olds, what do you think youre helping you leave kids in a room with only a tv and tables majority of the day, what a way to create caous!! you make teenagers do color pages for "school" ofc theyre gonna walk out. you make a girl wait 2hrs for a pad on her period, ofc shes going to spazz out. THE STAFF IS THE PORBLEM!! every child is there for some sort of problem but this place is meant to correct issues and figure out ways to help them get better, not make them worse. if you dont like your job, so be it. but dont make CHILDREN suffer because you dont like what you applied for. do it right or LEAVE because so many of us were destroyed because of the way we were treated and the things we witnessed during our stays.

Was not called when my son was having trouble with his heart. And my son seen a lot of fighting. I called one day to be hung up on 4 times then when I spoke with someone they could not tell me anything because they did not have my son’s folder in front of them. I think when you speak with the mother or father of the child you should have the folder in front of you before even speaking with the mother or father of the child. And my son also told me about them lets the kids say bad words that should not be allowed. I will remember next time to look at different hospitals before sending my son back there

I went here when I was around 13-14 yrs old for severe mental health issues. Upon arrival I was directed to do a squat and cough strip search.. which as I minor really traumatized me. (Especially when I had already been locked in a suicide watch room in a hospital for 48 hours and drove to the hospital in an ambulance… so idk how I could hide anything) I was placed on suicide watch at the hospital and could only eat finger foods for about a week almost two I think. I was basically starved only really eating boiled eggs and protein bars. I was barely aloud to have privacy, being placed in a room with a camera.. and having someone check in on me taking a shower every 3-4 minutes to make sure I was “safe”.
My mother didn’t know anything really when it came to my therapy sessions or my medication.
I remember one phone call when I was in the facility of my mom telling me “you sound like a zombie” with the medications they had me on.
If you were to do something wrong you weren’t aloud to talk to your family on the phone, it was a privilege.
There were soooo many things that occurred in that hospital that I would love to share, but idk how much I actually can. Please, please, pleaseeeee use my story and think 3-6 times before sending your children here!!

I’m 21 now and I will never forget this place.

They gave me a date for my daughter to come home and then did not call me when they decided she wasn't coming home. When she was finally released they lost all her clothes and her winter coat.

The facility looked nice. However for the price I was charged I figured my child would have received a little more help. She wasn’t home 24hrs and we’re back where we started.

I really can’t explain in a review how wonderful of an experience my family has had with the Pinnacle Pointe acute inpatient team. Jayme did the assessment over the phone and was so nice and understanding. She guided me through what to expect. My son has been at Rivendell twice before with no positive outcome. My voice and concerns were never heard there, but the very first day that he saw the doctor at P.P he received the diagnosis we knew he needed for years. He immediately started medication and I’ve already seen such a huge change in his mood and behavior. Lacey his nurse always answered my questions and concerns and took time to go talk to my son about things we discussed. Mr.Danny even though I didn’t get to meet him I heard all about his positive talks and encouragement he gave to my son to keep his spirits high. Mrs.Tiffani was also so nice and willing to help us through our therapy session and advocate for Colton to his doctor. This is not the ideal place for your child to go but I am so thankful we have a facility like this that not only is a safe place to send your child when they are in desperate need for help but also they hire the best of the best employees. If you have reading this and thinking about reaching out to them for help, I am praying for you and hope this gives you the courage to call them.
