I have had nothing but a great experience at Penn Valley Dental! From the moment I walk in, the staff is always welcoming, friendly, and professional. The office is clean, comfortable, and well-organized, making each visit smooth and stress-free.

The dentists and hygienists are truly exceptional—knowledgeable, gentle, and always take the time to explain procedures and answer any questions. I’ve always felt like I’m in great hands, and they genuinely care about their patients’ comfort and dental health.

Appointments are easy to schedule, and they do a great job of running on time. I appreciate their attention to detail and the high level of care they provide. I highly recommend Penn Valley Dental to anyone looking for top-notch dental care!

As I have read many other reviews I have had a similar experience. I urgently went to Dr. Minti for an evaluation for an abrupt horrid taste in my mouth. So bad I would have done anything to relieve it. When she saw me she told me there was absolutely nothing she could do until I was able to come in for a root and scale cleaning. The cost of upwards $1,000 for this procedure. At the time I had no insurance but was in such dire need I paid it out of pocket. The appointment was rushed and I agree with others that she does multiple patients at once so you do not have her undivided attention. The procedure was quick and a lot of blood. Immediately following the appt I noticed that my symptoms were not gone at all.
So I called and went back to see her about it and guess what she says? U will need to schedule with a periodontal Dr. that takes months to get into. Very careless after having taken my money.
I scheduled and saw the wonderful Dr. Conti in Elmira. He informed me that the SAME procedure needed to be redone. So my experience with him was 100% different. He took his time immediately put me on antibiotics. He showed care and concern for my situation and no blood in comparison to Dr. Mintis procedure. And the symptoms were resolved.
So I highly recommend don’t waste your $$ going here for anything other than a cleaning and that’s questionable also. For $1,000 to still have the same problem is bull.

Care started off great being seen for dental implant after workmans comp accident. Work was started for the implant just had to await the scan as we were told they needed 3 patients to need the scan before it could be performed after waiting patiently for well over 6 months recieved a text stating they can not do the implant due to how graft was healing...despite not seeing or assessing healing or having scan images to assess healing. Finally able to schedule scan on our own hoping they can actually assess healing and make a plan of care. Called after scan and told we still need to find an oral surgeon. This would be better if they had legitimately reassessed and determined that a higher level of care was needed but this did not happen it's now been months and back to square one looking for an oral surgeon now who can complete the work. 3 stars because the front desk was polite with the calls and everything started out promising. Wish they were honest about not being able to do implants sooner instead of leading on for months and canceling treatment without assessing or seeing how everything is healing.

Edit since I can't reply to your comment. You discussed treatment options with him and it was determined to go forward with an implant not a bridge. There was no rush for time just needed it done. Your office said they needed 3 people for the scan in order to bring the van to the office he just needed the scan and you could move forward with the implant There are also messages and texts throughout that time checking in, making sure he didn't miss the scan and messages from your office checking in to see if he was still doing the implant at your office. The office texted him after months of waiting to say you couldn't do the implant due to how things were healing when you had/have zero idea how things are healing as you haven't assessed anything or seen any scans. The disconnect comes with not leading someone on for almost 1 year now if you apparently knew from the first day you could not do the work. Patiently waiting and going back and forth only to start again from square one. Again if you assessed the site in any way and it was determined that the procedure couldn't be done that would be acceptable but that's not what happened.

Penn Valley took me in as a new patient since I was having an issue with a tooth worked on by another dentist. They even got me in within the week I called. The entire staff was so sweet and patient with me. I had 2 fillings done at once. Dr. Minti is professional, kind, and very personable! Her staff is great as well! From the minute you walk in the door you are greeted with a welcoming smile to kind and compassionate care all while getting set up in the chair and explained the events of your appointment. Having a lot of anxiety and fear or medical and dental procedures, I put off making a dentist appointment and I’m so happy I went through with it and made my appointment with Dr Minti. Despite some anxiety, hygienist Holly was gentle, kind and frequently checked in if I was okay, treated me like a human being and not just another patient in the chair. Fast forward two weeks and I return for my first ever cavity filling which I was very nervous about, almost wanting to cancel and reschedule! Dental assistant Alisha was SUPER. She reassured me, answered my questions, validated my feelings when I told her I was scared. This is what compassionate care looks like! And Dr Minti, I cannot say enough good about, take it from someone very anxious of all things medical, she was calming and reassuring but also matter of fact in the best way possible to get this done. I couldn’t even believe she had done the numbing injection as I was afraid of that the most, so I would say she is awesome if not even the numbing part hurt. I hope someone in a similar situation as me can find this review helpful in alleviating the worries of the dentist or a filling procedure. 10/10 recommend Dr. Minti and her staff!

Dr. Minti and her staff are absolutely amazing! I had 6 teeth pulled at one time followed up with bottom dentures after things healed. The whole process was super easy and I loved how details were paid attention to! It has been 15+ years since I have smiled confidently and today I start smiling with total confidence because of Penn Valley Dental! If you aren’t sure if your insurance is accepted please reach out. They have an amazing office manager who will answer any and all questions in a very timely manner!

We are a long time patients of Penn Valley Dental. My husband (who is in late 70s) was here a few weeks ago. He has almost no vision. He had fractured his tooth that seemed difficult to be saved. However, Dr. Minti and her staff worked diligently to save his tooth. Needless to say that these girls always accommodate my husband's disability patiently with respect and compassion.
