Let me start this off first by saying: do not judge a book by its cover. Before my husbands stay at PAM, we had been in facilities that are in beautiful buildings with state of the art everything. This is not that place BUT it was the best place we had been out of every facility! Don’t let the old building fool you. The money they lack for renovations and things of the sort, they make up for in their ability and desire to do their jobs and do their jobs incredibly well! The staff is incredible! From RT to PT or Speech to Nurses to CNA’s to doctors - they all care. And if you’ve ever had a loved one in any sort of medical situation, you know that is the first and foremost important thing. The care they receive. The knowledge the staff has was also impeccable. They all work together like a well oiled machine. Each dept knows their job and knows the goal and together, they achieve it. My husband came in unable to walk, talk, eat, breathe on his own, in less than 3 weeks, my husband came HOME, to our home, able to walk (still needs physical therapy for weakness so he does have a rollator), talk, eat real food, and breathe! While he will need oxygen for some time and at night, that’s nothing! We were told three different times that he wouldn’t live. He was intubated, sedated, paralyzed, on 100% oxygen. By the time he got to PAM, he was on a trach. What we assumed wouldn’t be possible was made a reality. They do not sugar coat anything here, they also do not hold your hand like a baby. If they see that you’re capable enough, healthy enough, they will have you doing the things. We couldn’t be more impressed with PAM and the team they have there. I would recommend anyone that needed their services to go there. Thank you, PAM! Thank you so much!
