Palm Valley Post Acute

I’ve had the opportunity to observe the care provided at this facility and have been consistently impressed. The nursing and respiratory therapy teams are highly skilled, and the maintenance staff ensures everything runs smoothly. The building is clean, spacious, and well-maintained, creating a comfortable environment for patients. Palm Valley has 2 well known and highly esteemed medical directors with full nurse practitioner teams rounding frequently for care. It’s clear that the non-clinical staff genuinely cares about the well-being of everyone. The food is excellent, and most importantly, people leave healthier than when they arrived. Highly recommend this place for quality care!

My mother passed away in this facility, th multiple times I received phone calls from my mother that they were ignoring her nurse calls and not giving her the care they should have been. I would have to continuously call to get them to do their jobs. As I live hours from the facility. Then to having my mother's wishes completely ignored. My mother had it to where my brother and I were power of attorney for her. My brother passed away and that left me the only living person who was in charge of her estate. Even giving copies of the power of attorney forms and everything that was asked of me to have the check or cashiers check made out to my name, this was ignored as well. Along with not even being notified by the facility of her death. Instead they contacted someone who was taken off of everything and was not to have anything to do with my mother. My mother said that the food abd care was horrible their treatment was not good and that they were always giving her unnecessary medicine to knock her out. Shalamar and Kyle and the 2 housekeeping ladies were amazing and treated my mother as family. This is hard to deal with,not only am I being completely ignored by the facility and told by them that they aren't going to do their jobs and do things the way they are supposed to be done but I still haven't received my mother's belongings. This makes things even more of a nightmare than they already are. I think this needs to be dealt with, my mother trusted the staff to follow her wishes and take care of her financial things as well as medical and they have let us all down

My mother fell down and broke her hip and clavical. We chose Palm Valley for post acute rehab. The nurses and house keepers were very nice to her. They always helped my mom even when they were in busy times. The therapists were helpful with my mom and some spoke Spanish. Most important was the care of my mom and I would recommend this place.

Under new management, this new group is doing great things at Palm Valley. Staff are friendly, welcoming and caring. They have a great wound program with high success rates. Wound nurses available 7 days a week, very knowledgeable and under great leadership. Medical Providers in the facility 7 days a week, Medical MD's and NP's, Pain specialist, Physiatrist, Pulmonary, In house Dialysis, Dermatologist, Podiatrist and much more that they offer now in house. This place is heading in the right direction.

Definitely under new management, nurses are always smiling and approachable. Facility looks very clean and it has very nice landscaping compared to other places that I’ve seen throughout the valley . Live music petting zoo, and tons of activities to entertain residents . The place even has a pool.

Let me tell yall something, palm valley has there VA forms for taking care of veterans. Needs to be revoked knowing they OD my dad taking care of him. Bringing him back but more times than not that place is gross. Horribly managed. Majority of the workers don’t care about the patents. Don’t go. The head nurse doesn’t know what she’s doing and is always rude when someone talks to her. Take this place with a grain of salt. Sorry business and workers

It’s a great place to work. The Veranda unit is family. Day shift works like a well oil machine staff is always in tune of what the residents wants and needs, Kimberly LPN

Honestly Palm valley has a ways to go to get 5 stars. On the other hand they do have several people who deserve to be praised. First and foremost there head nurse , Shalamar is an exceptional leader. Attentive Caring and Responsive only scratches the service. She really believes the patient is number one and after being a patient at Palm vally with a broken hip , I can personally verify this. She's really exceptional. To that end, most everyone here has a mission of making the patient feel special. Most notably a nurse named Neal. He's so good at his job. This guy punches all the marks. So does Inez. She's another exceptional nurse. Very caring and responsive to the patients needs. There physical therapy department is truly wonderful. Exceptionally staffed and equipped but one of the true standouts is a physical therapist named Cecilia. Tough and focused on your rehabilitation but as kind has kind can be. She really knows how to walk the line between working you and holding your hand. An exceptional person. There lucky to have her. Respiratory therapy is another area of service that Palm Valley provides. Hands down, Kyle leads the way with unparalleled knowledge and skill not to mention a engaging personality. Last but not least is a CNA named Ana. I must say , most of the CNAs are great, this one, Ana, is over the top. My lord this one's a real gem. There isn't anything she wouldn't do to make your journey here has pleasant has possible. Frankly , I could go on and on but I think I made my point. Oh, the 5th star, that would be the food. It's pretty poor. Consistently cold with very little taste and imagination. I think theyimprove with time. In closing. It's a great post acute facility. I've been here for 24 days and I should be discharged within a few days and I owe all of my care and rehab to Palm Valley. Harry Lucchesi
