AVOID AT ALL COSTS - Medical Scam Artists Masquerading as Sleep Lab

I rarely write reviews, but this place achieved such spectacular incompetence that silence would make me complicit.

First comes their $250 "consultation" fee--for filling out forms you could do on your phone. Then $800 for the sleep study itself. Picture paying Ritz Carlton prices for accommodations that would make a prison warden apologize: blankets with holes, fluorescent lighting, and a blaring phone that rang all night--because what's a sleep study without insomnia?

But the real scam begins after you've been sleep-deprived and $1000 poorer. Want your test results? That'll be another $250--$75 for paperwork and the rest for an "essential" doctor consultation. I begrudgingly paid the $75 fee and had to drive back to their office because they refuse to email results and, get this, they only accept cash--that's right, no cards, no checks, no paper trail! They operate like some shady drug dealer operating between dumpsters.

And after all that, I discovered the crown jewel of their incompetence: they concluded I didn't have sleep apnea, then proceeded to give me a detailed list of ways to manage my non-existent sleep apnea. Apparently, they couldn't even be bothered to match their boilerplate recommendations to their own diagnosis.

Pro tip: don't leave anything behind. When I tried to retrieve my pillow, the day staff acted like I was asking them to breach national security by checking the back office.

Save yourself the headache. Ask your doctor for a referral to literally any other sleep lab. This one needs to be put to rest permanently.

I am extremely grateful to Dr. Omar Tirmizi for his swift action in sending my husband directly to the ER to double check his health problems. As a result, they were able to identify that I was having a heart attack and provide the necessary care at the right time. Thanks to Dr. Tirmizi's quick thinking and expert medical knowledge, I was able to avoid any major complications and make a full recovery. I will forever be thankful for his help and expertise, and would highly recommend him to anyone in need of medical care. Thank you again, Dr. Tirmizi.

Worst Experience ever! After couple of visits to ER I went to see dr. Tirmizi after 1 minute of seeing my report he said stop inhailer and your med. He didn’t run any test or exam. 2 days later I was rushed to ER with oxygen level of 82. When I called back for follow up appt the front desk said you don’t need a follow up and dr put a note that you don’t need to come back.

Dr. Omar Tirmizi refused to see my Mother who is a cancer patient who had an emergency medical need. He would not take her out-of-state insurance unless we paid cash upfront. Not only did we have my Mother's Pulmonologist call from out of state to speak directly to Dr. Tirmizi to explain the urgency and severity of our case but we also had her insurance company send three separate authorizations stating they would cover all incurring fees. His secretary Deepa told me regardless of all our efforts, unless the insurance company sends an 'additional' letter stating they would pay, despite the legal binding authorizations they sent already stating payments would be made, Dr. Tirmizi would not see my Mom on this emergency basis unless we paid upfront and in cash! Meanwhile we have three separate Doctors from Cedars- Sinai who've agreed to see my Mother with her out of state insurance. Doctor Tirmizi is a disgrace and should not be able to practice if he is only interested in making money and not helping people in a life or death situation. Beware of this doctor and his unempathetic and unprofessional staff. I have made complaints with Medical Board of California and with Cedars-Sinai who he is affiliated with. Doctors like Dr. Tirmizi should be held accountable for not upholding his Hippocratic Oath.

Dr Omar Tirmizi saved my life, I had one meeting with him and he send me directly to the ER to double check my health problems. They found out there that I was having an Heart Attack. Bc he sent me there at the right time, they could give me care at the right time and it resulted by I had no major sequels. I will always be grateful for this. Thank you again.

I went to get a regular physical. They were supposed to do bloodwork for many different things. Days later I get a call from his assistant that I need to go back to get more blood drawn because the lab did not accept the sample for a certain test. He was not upfront with how he messed up my sample. He said the rest of the tests were going to be ready next Monday. The whole week went by, I called Friday he said the Dr had already left. I called on Monday, he said that the Dr. was not there that for sure he would call me the next day. When I asked how come it was taking more than two weeks, he gave me attitude and insisted the doctor was going to call me the next day. I still didn't hear back from the doctor.
Not only they are not professional, they are rude and not trustworthy. The worse experience ever!

Office people here are very rude. Never have they had pleasant greeting. Patients come to get better, but instead leave the office with a sense of confusion. Wondering if the Doctor actually paid attention to the patient's health needs. The first time, I thought that they were having a bad day, but it's all the time. If you are forced to come to this office, please know your rights as a patient and don't let them treat you like you are beneath them. They are just unbelievable. No sense of customer service.
