I was very hesitant about who I was selecting as my new dentist. I just moved to the area and had just obtained insurance through my employer. Monica has made my transition with their office completely seamless and easy-going. She’s extremely friendly and personable. She works with you directly to come up with a plan that fits your budget and needs. She is the reason why I chose this dentist! Maria is also friendly and does a great job at interacting with customers.

Dr. Rodd Is the dentist. My hesitancy has come from bad experiences in the past with prior dentists. Dr. Rodd’s concern of my comfort level and pain tolerance was extremely surprising. He made sure I felt no pain during my procedure and checked in with me regularly to make sure I was comfortable. I also feel the work that was done was extremely professional and top of the line. I am staying with this dentist office because they do great work and find a budget that works for you!

Be careful with this practice!

I went with my father for his tooth extraction. We had an appointment at 8:30 AM and arrived exactly on time, but the office was dark, and no one was there. We waited for 30 minutes before the front desk staff arrived. Around 9:30 AM, they asked my father for an X-ray, but the oral surgeon wasn’t in the office. Instead, we were only given a consultation with a general dentist, who simply told us they could schedule the extraction for another time.

After that, we were asked to wait again. Then, a woman named Monica came to explain the procedure to us. I wondered how she could advise my father on his treatment—was she an oral surgeon? She said he needed a CT scan and a bone graft without even consulting the oral surgeon. It seemed like they were just trying to charge for unnecessary procedures.

This practice is terrible! Monica insisted we pay a $500 deposit before starting. Can you believe that? Without even seeing the surgeon, she was the one deciding what the patient needed!

We left immediately and went to another surgeon, who performed the extraction without any extra charges for a bone graft or CT scan—contrary to what Monica had pushed for.

Horrible, horrible, horrible! She was just trying to steal our money

The office is relocated and these photos are dated. I had issues trying to locate the establishment to leave a review. The initial visit I had to leave because the wait was too long and I had work. The second visit, once I was evaluated, went smoothly. The staff was polite and attentive. The Dentist recommended I get a deep cleaning which made me skeptical because I am diligent with my cleanings. Long story short I was approved by insurance for a half deep cleaning under my gum lines. Although there were extra costs the office was transparent and gave me options to choose from. My dental hygienist's name was Sarah, she did a great job at being gentle and touching all areas of my mouth. She comes off as cold and matter of fact but she warms up and is enduring with time. I highly recommend her for a thorough cleaning!

OC Smile is the first dental office that took care of me here in south county. I can honesty say that Dr Badi and Sarah Samet-Fragosa have taken care of me each time I visited the offices. I go for usual retainer check-ups and routine teeth cleaning.

Dr Badi is a really chill, yet practical, person who genuinely cares about his patients and the community he services. I really appreciate his staff, including Monica, who have always assisted me with pending questions. I recommend my family and friends to the mission viejo office.

I strongly advise against going to OC Smile Dental and Orthodontics. My wife’s crown, which cost a fortune, fell off TWICE in less than two years. Their so-called “warranty” is a complete joke—if your crown breaks, they’ll still charge you! This place is nothing but a money grab, and they clearly don’t stand behind the quality of their work. Save yourself the headache (and the wallet pain) and go somewhere else.

Jamie was very nice and throughly explained answers to my questions. She was very knowledgeable about the health for my teeth, gave me a lot of useful information on to take better care of them. The assistant Alex was also made my experience very comfortable and did the X-rays very carefully and quick. This was the first time I didn’t feel pain. Great job with the staff. The facility is also very clean.

This was hands down the best experience i’ve had in terms of my dental health. The entire staff was amazing in every aspect. They were very knowledgeable and seemed like they genuinely cared about my teeth. I thank every one that helped me and can’t wait to continue coming here.
