Dr. Vreeland has changed my life! I was diagnosed with IBS 20 years ago and as I’ve gotten older it has gotten so much worse. I couldn’t eat anything without sharp stabbing pains in my stomach. Through a series of tests she figured out that I was misdiagnosed and I actually have SIBO! It’s an overgrowth of bacteria in the small intestine. She literally cured me with vitamins! It has 100% changed my quality of life! I can eat everything!

Nothing but great service, I have had doctors who rush me out but Dr. Hasan took her time learning and understanding my needs. We did necessary testing and thanks to her we were able to find many underlying conditions that have helped me better my diet and overall health.

Environment: Clean, natural lighting, lots of greenery. The office is enclosed with the doctor for privacy. The testing room is the same, clean it doesn't feel like a cold hospital room.

Dr Barrett was the first Doctor to properly diagnose and maintain healthy levels for Low thyroid. I trust her and have recommended her to dozens of women who are experiencing issues with hormones, menopause and fatigue.
She is up to date in her knowledge and it shows that she cares about her patients.

I’ve been to many specialists in an effort to get help with my digestive issues. Dr. Siani is by far my favorite. Her bedside manner is amazing and she never makes you feel ashamed when it comes to lifestyle/diet, which is really important to me. I’m pretty healthy, but life with a disorder is unpredictable and sometimes you can’t live the way you’d ideally like to and she gets that.

10 years ago I accompanied my mother to an appointment here. I was 18. She had been recently diagnosed with an aggressive metastatic cancer. The female doctor we saw simply showed us a flow chart of methylation function, and left it at that. My mother died within 6 months. I am not blaming any practitioner for my mother's illness. I want to recognize the incredible lack of care nor ethical treatment of my mom and the family. We were all in shock and extremely vulnerable, and it wasn't even given a thought. When fellow human beings are seeking answers and medicine, sometimes human connection and empathy is all there is to give. No b-vitamin or NMN would alter that course. I am now a doctor myself, writing under an anonymous gmail account and I am suggesting to all patients to avoid this business if your life is on the line. Shame on any 'doctor' who would avoid real connection in a time of need.

I've waited to write this review because I want to be fair, but I also want to warn people about the experience here.

I have been a patient here for about 6 years. Dr. Slezak and Dr. Siani are great. I've spent most of my time w/ Dr. Slezak--he's awesome. He goes far beyond the norms of patient care, spends as much time as needed to listen to your story and symptoms. He is the most knowledgeable doctor I've ever known and I have returned to health under his treatment.

It saddens me beyond belief that the owner of the practice, Dr. Barrett, has not taken steps to rectify an ongoing issue. Patient safety and care are not a priority here.

Many months ago, I was in the waiting room for my appt with Dr. Slezak. I had the flu, but wanted to keep my appt with him. I was sitting quietly in the chair waiting when two women walked in with a child (age about 4-5). The child was allowed to run around the waiting room screaming and jumping, which when you're sick, can be upsetting.

The child kept slapping my knees shouting at me. I let it go the first time because she's just a child. However, the women saw her do it and said nothing. A few minutes later, she did it again. I got up and moved to another chair.

Then, (you probably guessed it) the child did it a third time. I looked at the two women and politely asked them to do please something.

The one woman began calling me names and screaming, 'She's just a child!' I replied calmly, "Yes, but I'm sick and I would like her to stop."

Seeing nothing wrong with her child's behavior, she kept screaming at me. I have had anxiety and PTSD and I have found that I can feel threatened easily. I have to make an effort to remain calm. I was so shocked by this woman's abuse that my 'flight' response kicked in.

I went outside and took a few deep breaths. I went up to Teresa at the front desk & asked if I could wait somewhere else. She said no! I asked again, and she said, "I don't have anywhere for you to go!"

I happen to know there are rooms in back where I could've gone. Instead, Teresa chose to allow the obvious verbal attacks on me to continue.

Feeling threatened, I was about to call the police (yes, it got that bad). Instead, because I was getting very anxious, I left.

I tried to explain things later to Dr. Barrett, that Teresa had completely failed in her responsibilities to quell abuse inside the office. Dr. Barrett gave me a limp excuse. She frankly couldn't care less.

I still needed to see Dr. Slezak so I reluctantly tolerated seeing Teresa but told her (calmly) to please not interact with me. I make every attempt to visit when she's not on duty.

Fast forward to today. I needed a blood test and had to contact Ashley, the super sweet, nice and very sharp lab tech. She is awesome BTW!

I had a window of opportunity but the office is 40 minutes from my house so I called to see if the paperwork was in order, just so I didn't drive all the way there to find that it wasn't.

Unfortunately, Teresa answered the phone. Expecting her to be professional, she was short with me and said she would check on the paperwork and call me back. That was at 8:45am.

I got busy and at Noon, I suddenly realized that I did not get a call back. I called and Teresa didn't even know what I was talking about! She lied about it and then gave me another reason why she didn't do this simple task. When I tried to explain, she was extremely combative and said, "Well, Kathi, what do you want me to do?"

There is nothing that can be done with someone who isn't equipped to do the job they are tasked with. Teresa's behavior has never been checked & it's allowed to continue, to the detriment of the entire practice. I've never gotten a call or note of apology. Not even to ask what happened.

I have referred countless friends and family here. I have spent thousands of dollars and this is how they treat good clients.

I will never go back to Newport Integrative Health.

Dr. Barrett is the best doctor I have ever been to. She is smart and an excellent communicator. Her office staff is wonderful too.
