I can't say enough how great this facility is. Everyone of the staff that I have talked to have been so friendly and helpful. The building is cozy and has a home like atmosphere. They have a dementia unit, a separate assisted living unit as well as short term and long term care units. The therapy department is phenomenal. I also can't say enough how wonderful the management team is. You can tell they take great pride in the facility. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to bring my family here.

I worked at MountainView for many years and from a insiders point of view MountainView is a amazing place with amazing staff that truly care about our residents and want the very best for them. The therapy department is one of the finest group around. The nursing staff gives 100% of themselves to care for the residents they love. The negative comments about MountainView are just NOT true!!

So my partner is in there and yous give him wrong medication. Can't give them toilet rolls or anything don't clean up. Partner has to ask for his showers. Food is little and appalling. You have your staff physically adding patients to there social media? This is meant to be a care home meant to look after patients. You lied to me on the phone when i asked how my partner was you said he was fine when he wasent. I have sent an email in complaining and still don't hear anything back. I would seriously look else where if you are looking for somewhere as this place is a disgrace and dosent put patients first at all. Oh and BTW half of the new reviews your seeing is the staff them selves trying to boost there ratings up 🙂 partners just told me.

This facility is great. They have units for short term and long term and also an assisted living unit. There courtyards are beautiful with water fountains. The leadership is fantastic and are always available. They have a great therapy program. Great place.

I was a resident here for 8 months in 2019-20. While here, I received excellent care by their highly trained CNA’s and Caregivers. I was especially pleased with the Physical Therapy Department for not allowing me to give up, and had me up walking once again. I would recommend highly!

My dad is in the dementia wing. He has been quarantined with Covid for the last 8 days. We have been calling almost daily to check on him. Each time we called in the last week we got the “oh yes he is fine. He is eating and drinking. Sleepy, but otherwise seems like himself.” Last time we got this report was the night before last night. Suddenly today we get a call saying he has lost a ton of weight, he looks terrible, is lethargic, not eating or drinking, has a lot of green discharge from his nose. Labs that were done this morning showed alarmingly high potassium levels. He was taken by ambulance to the ER and is now admitted to the hospital. I know Alzheimers patients can decline quickly, but if he is so dehydrated and has green discharge from his nose then he did not decline quickly. This had to have been going on for DAYS to get to this point….yet when we called all week he was “fine”. This is not acceptable nor kosher. We need to know the truth about how he is doing and not being told what they think we want to hear. So, now he is in the hospital for the second time since he has been in their care since May. Both times due to dehydration. My parents’ life savings has gone to this facility to care for them both and this is what we paid for? Plus laundry is never done and back in their rooms unless one of us calls to complain. I am so disappointed and disheartened. Do better for the patients and their families.

The photos from their site are very misleading this place is overcrowded and understaffed. The courtyard does not look like the pictures it’s dry it’s dirty and it’s very unkept . The patients cannot use that unless someone takes them out. As they are shortstaffed there is no way for them to go out unless they get company. This place needs updated there is no reason that anyone should have to wear an ankle monitor it’s the only nursing home that uses them. I go and do visits to many nursing homes believe the reviews this is the second worst one in Pennsylvania. It’s overcrowded in the memory care unit there’s nothing for these people to do as a staff member told me . They said they were going to do fireworks and I said oh you’re going to take them outside. The attendant told me no they shoot them off over the mountain and they can watch them from these two windows. Small windows like house windows 40 people.!! What do you work all your life for you put money away for what places like this to take everything you own you’re just a $sign it like an Asylum very dark. These are my opinions. If I’m ever in need of a nursing home I would rather die than to go here and that’s what I will do
